Vacation in Portugal

A country on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, with friendly people who seem to be dozing and not in a hurry. We flew to Lisbon, rented a car at the airport, and drove to the hotel. Roads throughout Portugal are good, however, autobahns are paid. Lisbon is a European city, located on the hills, walking along it, you have to constantly go up and down the hills. It is best to take tram number 28 and ride it through the historical part of the city, with narrow streets and interesting houses, besides, a ticket for this tram costs 1.4 Euros. A very interesting and large oceanarium, a lot of fish from different parts of the world are represented. Near the oceanarium there is a good promenade along the bay or you can ride a cable car. There are also many interesting places in the vicinity of Lisbon, for example, Pena Castle in Sintra, a combination of palace and castle styles, looks like a toy, is located in a picturesque wooded area.
After a few days in Lisbon we went to Porto. The city is also all on the hills, famous for the production of various types of port wine. Lots of funny houses and streets. The historical part of the city is not big, but there is where to take a walk.
After Porto, we went on a lazy vacation on the ocean coast. The distance from Porto to the Algarve is about 550 km, but the roads are good and the distance is easily and quickly covered. We lived in the Faletia 4 * hotel, a very good hotel with good breakfasts, delicious and varied dinners. The hotel does not accept children under 16 years of age. Most of the guests are English, who are not so easy to please, but they return to this hotel more than once, and this is already saying something. The hotel does not have its own beach, you need to walk to the ocean for about 15 minutes, along the picturesque territory of the Sheraton hotel, then go down the elevator from the cliff and along a long wooden path to the beach itself. At first, it was very surprising, but depending on how it relates to this, I think you need to find something funny and unusual in everything, I have never seen such an approach to the ocean anywhere. The beach offers a very beautiful view of the rocks. The beach is absolutely normal, with sand, umbrellas, sun loungers (though paid). If you wish, you can take your own umbrella with a bedding, there is a place for this. The ocean is wonderful, warm and during our stay very calm. Within a 2-minute walk from the hotel there are many restaurants for different tastes. Portuguese cuisine is mainly fish, offering many types of fish, shrimp, mussels, various shells. There is, of course, meat, but the Portuguese cook fish better.
