Winter holidays in Zakopane
Good day everyone. Recommend a good budget, and most importantly proven hotel in Zakopane. I looked at booking.com, everything is already reserved there for the New Year holidays, which is affordable (about 30-40 euros per day). There are expensive aparthotels left. How difficult it is to live 15-20 minutes walk from Krupovka. How far is it by the standards of Zakopane. Thank you.

Been here a few years ago: www.willadoro.neostrada.pl, price PLN 45 per room/day (at that time it was about 20 euros)

You first need to decide where you would like to live. How close to the ski lifts and which slopes. Then look at google maps. "15-20 minutes from Krupowki" can mean anything!

Skiers we are not super pros, average, experience 3-4 years. We ride on blue and black slopes. I would like to live in such a way that it is not far from the slopes, and in the evening there is where to go, take a walk, see, eat. From what I understand, there are ski lifts on several sides of the city. I have heard that it is not difficult to move around the city, because. go "sky-buses". Is it so?

Why Zakopane and Poland? The Tatras in Slovakia (on the other side of the mountain range, 70 km from Zakopane) are better. I can advise a wonderful and inexpensive cottage in Bobrovets (Liptovsky Mikulas) http://bobrovec.sk/. I have been visiting these people every year since 2005 (and sometimes several times a year). They conquered me and my children with their cordiality and hospitality. A big plus is that they speak Russian. All my friends, whom I advised and who went to these people, really liked it. No one was offended yet.

Why is Slovakia better?

The Tatras are the highest mountain range in Poland and Slovakia, the highest part of the Carpathians, the highest mountains between the Alps and the Caucasus.
The highest peak of the Tatras - Gerlach (Gierlach) has a height of 2654 m above sea level. and lies on the Slovak side. The highest peak in Poland, Rysy, has a height of 2499 m above sea level, but ranks only tenth among the giants of the Tatras. 60 peaks are over 2400 meters high. The highest peak, located entirely within the borders of Poland, is Kozi Wierch - 2291 m.
The area of all Tatras is 785 sq. km, the Polish Tatras are 175 sq. km.

So what? How does all this prove that they are BETTER?
I thought you would talk about the advantages of the tracks or infrastructure, or hotels, or sports and leisure opportunities ... And your numbers only say "higher and more", it does not equal "better".

Read my review

Better is who cares. I never understood people who impose their tastes on others. Give objective information. It's all in my reviews. And choosing a place, because they know Russian there, is the last thing in tourism.

Thanks to everyone who responded.
Why exactly Poland? We decided to start developing the ski resorts of Europe from Poland, because it is most convenient for us to get from Kyiv by train to Krakow, and then by bus. It’s expensive by plane, Vizeyr is not very convenient, and you also pay extra for luggage (and it’s not so small in winter). I have experience of traveling such long distances. Inconvenient, in short. + to everything they wanted to visit Krakow one day. And the reviews of friends about Zakopane are flattering.

Zakopane is a great resort, you won't regret it. Unfortunately, I won’t tell you about housing - we, on the contrary, came there from Krakow :)
I think that Slovakia is also a good option, but I was somehow unlucky with it :( A friend chose a place and a hotel, so we ended up in Places - a hole in a hole.

It's up to you, of course. But not the fact that the train is the cheapest mode of transport abroad. It is cheaper to get to the border by train (for example, Uzhgorod or Lviv), and take a transfer from there.
Dear lanos, informing does not mean imposing. Everyone has the right to their opinion (including me).
Krakow is undoubtedly wonderful and worth seeing. In Slovakia, there is no alternative to Krakow, but the ski resorts are still better.
Tracks in Slovakia are much better and the infrastructure too. Among other things, there are many thermal water parks where you can spend time in case of "non-ski" weather. Water parks in Zakopane and Krakow are inferior to them. Plus, the country's currency is the euro.
But again, it's up to you to decide. On New Year's holidays, prices are always maximum, and by mid-January they are falling. I wish you good luck and good rest.

Take the time to read my reviews and you will understand that I have nothing against either Slovakia or Zakopane. But you are just imposing your opinion, but I do not. I like Slovakia better too.

Good afternoon! Try to search for accommodation on the site
www.zol.pl, there are almost all the villas, it is convenient to find them on the map of Zakopane on the same site.
Dare, do not hesitate - the rest will turn out!
