If you are an advanced skier, then to go skiing, it is better to go to Szklarska Poreba. There are very long trails for different levels of preparedness (more than 4000 m). Zakopane is more of a party place. We have the most initial level of preparedness. In Zakopane, we lived in the hotel "Mercury Kasprow". Very convenient. The hotel is located right next to the ski lifts. There are three of them. One tow rope is for beginners. Two chairlifts -400 and 1200 m. The lifts are open from 8 am to 11 pm.
