What currency to take?
We are going to Europe for the first time. Tour Poland-Czech Republic. Advise on the best thing to do: exchange all the money for euros, and then on the spot for kroons and zlotys, or before the trip, immediately exchange part of the amount for kroons, and part for zlotys?

Hello, from my own experience it’s better to change to the euro, and locally to the national currency. I don’t remember how in Poland (we traveled in 2008), but in the Czech Republic they bought kroons and euros + optionally one day in Dresden-euro.

Take the euro anyway. Stock up on small bills. Zloty and crowns will change on the spot. Please note that there exchangers can take a commission, and it is different everywhere.
For additional excursions, guides take mostly in euros and very rarely in local currency.
In Poland, the calculation is in zlotys everywhere. In the Czech Republic, they also take euros, but only paper ones and change will be given in kroons.
I am a tourist with great experience, if you have any more questions - please contact me!

If possible, you can also change some zlotys in addition to euros on the road (for water, food, toilets - in local currency it is always more profitable than changing right there or paying in euros). But be guided by yourself depending on the exchange rate of the euro and zloty. I usually look at courses at home, at my destination, in Lviv (if I go through it) on the Internet. And see which is better.
If you plan to travel more than once and you still have a trifle not realized, leave it for the next time.
Moreover, the Czechs, even in stores, can sell counterfeit banknotes for change.

Euro definitely. When we traveled, the course in Ukraine was not profitable. At the border is also overpriced. Changed a small amount. In Poland, they changed without commissions.
In the Czech Republic, look carefully. may indicate the commission percentage may be written in small print at the bottom. On the advice of our guide, we collected the equivalent amount in crowns on the calculator and showed it to the exchange office employee, specifying how much money we would receive.

Oops, the second sentence of the second paragraph is a bit incorrect. I think it makes sense? :)

I don’t know about Poland, I haven’t been yet, but I returned from Prague 2 weeks ago, take euros with you, you can pay for purchases with a card, if you have one, it’s profitable. It is most profitable to change euros to kroons
at the exchange offices that the Arabs keep, ask at the hotel, they will tell you. It’s cheaper to buy excursions on the street ... if you’re interested, I’ll even write the name of the office in the evening (the girl Natasha, by the way, is from Ukraine)
