idzinzus, if it is problematic for you to prepare booking documents, then you can go to Krakow as part of a tourist group for 3-5 days (there are a lot of tours, the cost is from 75 euros). You can not go on excursions, but chat with a friend. No problem with visa. It's like an option. You can choose both an air tour and a car.
