For the first time in Norway.
NorwayOslo
I have never been abroad before. I would like to make my first trip to Norway, but I heard that you can’t go there for the first time - you need at least several visits to the Schengen countries to guarantee it, and only then you can go to Norway. Is it so? If so, how many trips do you need to make before Norway.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

it all depends on the purpose of your trip.
Yes, Norway is not an easy Schengen country, but if you have all the documents in order, they can give you a visa.
answer "how many trips you need to make before Norway" is not realistic, because. even if the entire passport is stuck with visas, and something is wrong with your documents, they can refuse.
as an option, you can initially go to Hungary-Czech Republic-Poland

If the documents are in order, financial security is enough to live in Norway (Norway is an expensive country), then there should be no problems, although a clean passport. But why Norway right away, look around first in neighboring Europe.

I am interested in Norway, the purpose of the trip is tourism. Just go for a week on a sightseeing tour. Maybe this is a problem if the documents are in order?
аватар Anetka-gan
No one will give you a 100% guarantee. you may not like you at the interview at the embassy. Who knows?! take the finished tour from TO and then it should go smoothly.
аватар nnnbera
That is, I understand correctly - if I contact a travel agency, then I will be allowed to enter, even if I have never traveled anywhere? Can I be refused only if I want to go to Norway for some personal / work business?
аватар shumera
to refuse as well as not to refuse can in any case.
Refusals are periodically received by those who often travel to Europe.
You need to collect all the necessary package of documents for obtaining a visa, give it yourself or through a travel agency and wait. there is nothing left but to wait for a decision.
аватар Anetka-gan
not understood correctly. it’s just that the probability of obtaining a visa for a tour is higher, but also not a fact.
under work affairs do work visas. at the invitation of the employer (colleague) and here is another option. here visas are given in 99% and quickly

Thank you very much, things are getting better. And such a question: what could be wrong in the documents so that they refuse me? Well, at least approximately, who knows?
аватар Anetka-gan
small financial security, no link to the country.
аватар alex45
No one can ever understand why they refused. If you fulfill all the requirements of the embassy and collect all the documents of high quality (there is no obvious fake, there is enough money to live in this country, there is where to live (preferably hotels paid or booked with guarantees), round-trip air tickets, there may even be a nuance - one city or several, you are a tourist (!) But the closer your documents are to the ideals of a consulting worker, the better! It is a pity that we do not know these ideals.

The answer to two questions.
What is the advantage of filing docks for a visa through a travel agency for a purchased tour?
The fact that the documents for the trip itself will be correctly submitted, and your personal documents will undergo preliminary processing = preparation in a travel agency that regularly deals with this, i.e. has a lot of experience.
What do you need to get a visa?
There is a list of docks, there are experienced tips. But the meaning is always the same - according to the documents it should be clear that you are traveling for tourism purposes, that you are not a poor person and you have a lot of things left in your homeland.
But if someone thinks that it is easier to emigrate illegally through a travel agency, then he is mistaken.

Thanks, I get it. There is another question - let's say a tour is bought. How much money do you need to take with you on average (for various unplanned expenses)? I know that the country is expensive, so without chic - only for the most necessary.
аватар Anetka-gan
1. see which excursions are included in the tour, which are not. all TO have programs. calculate the maximum that is needed on the tour
2. if a week, then somewhere around 500 euros, probably.
аватар alex45
In principle, when submitting documents, it is recommended that the minimum amount of money necessary to live in the country per day. You need to go to the embassy website and the list of necessary documents for obtaining a visa should contain these recommendations, but somewhere not less than the amount indicated by Anetka.

what nonsense about "at least a few visits to the Schengen countries are required, for a guarantee, and only then you can go to Norway." The Norwegians themselves, naturally for them, would not even understand the essence of the issue! Well, where do such speculations come from ... local travel agencies intimidate? I will answer in full!

This is the answer of one of my friends who works in a travel agency. It upset me a lot, so I decided to find out, so to speak, the opinion of the majority. I would be glad for a detailed answer - [email protected]

my first schengen-norwegian. There were no problems. They put a stamp that upon returning to present a passport to the embassy (it was a long time ago. The package of docks was minimal, then they didn’t even have credit cards. The salary was average. We bought a ready-made tour through the company. We saw a lot thanks to this. Individual excursions bought on the spot, -expensive.Food -expensive.Hot dog -49 UAH, although coffee is cheaper than in the Coffee House - it turns out great when the desire to see more and more is not gnawed.
I understand that the low-cost flies to Oslo and is not expensive, but the miscalculation of the rest - ... alas.
The first time in Norway is not scary, I did this, and even then, when the child had just finished school, but there was no student yet, and we were only able to provide a certificate of that. that such and such a university accepted documents, nothing more: no exams, no results ....
Good luck
аватар nnnbera
Wow, thanks, so it's not so unrealistic.) I hope that I'm also lucky, because visiting this country is my childhood dream.
аватар Anetka-gan
Can you find out what draws you there?
аватар nnnbera
I would like to know) I have been dreaming since I was three years old, and the dream has not become weaker at all. I want to see at least once, breathe that air, stand on that land. I do not know why.

Oslo has never really attracted me. . . and the trip was quite spontaneous, as there was an invitation from one of the hoteliers. . . like, if you're in Oslo, come visit us. . . - no more. And so, while visiting Sweden, we quickly thought: why not go to Oslo so casually ??? phoned the hotelier, he confirmed everything, bought train tickets on the Internet, not at all expensive. . . as much as 25 euros both ways. . . ! Arrived in Oslo and got to the hotel. In the morning, at the hotel, having torn off our map sheet from the beech, we went for a walk on foot towards the town hall. Measured, looking into all the corners where it is interesting, relaxing in the parks on the benches or right by the fjord, it was clear that the org. the excursion is just knocking out their tourist's energy (and money). Half a day passed measuredly and naturally, and finally we got on the tour. infocenter. There, armed with brochures and maps, having received advice and good Norwegians, having bought OSLOPASS 72 h. we have completely solved the issue of leisure. With this OSLOPASS, we rode on any transport, including a caravel, visited exhibitions and museums by preference, and even went on a city tour on hop on hop off buses. One day we went to the suburbs, 25 km. to the south, Drebak is a different story.
аватар nnnbera
Super. It also always seemed to me that excursions are exhausting, and they will not give a real idea of the city. The best thing is to walk slowly. But then it's a private tour. And if you buy from a travel agency, then only with excursions, I think. Well, or there is already on the spot to clarify what they can offer.
аватар shumera
you can choose a minimum of excursions, for example, a sightseeing tour (if there is no way to refuse) and just not go to some of them, but take a walk on your own.
аватар alex45
And what is problematic, as in any other Schengen country (Italy, Spain, etc.) to collect booking hotels, plane reservations (if there is a low-cost, all the better), find out on the website at the embassy what financial documents are needed, collect them and submit them to the embassy “The only thing is that it may be a bit far from the consulate, but personal presence is necessary. And then compare the cost of an individual trip and through TA, which is cheaper?
аватар alex45
I don’t know about the low-cost from Ukraine to Norway, maybe I can look for flights through Baltik

city tour on hop on hop off buses - this is the survey ex. It consists of 2 parts: 1 - a big tour of the city + Holmenkollen (it's a suburb on the mountain...above the city) after which the bus arrives again at the Town Hall. 2 - again from the City Hall - to Bygdey - a peninsula with many museums (I advise!). From there, we already abandoned the bus and, according to our OSLOPASS, on a caravel in 30 minutes. sailed to the same City Hall. But we walked up, relaxed on the fjord. The advantage is that you don’t have to wait for anyone, push anyone, and no one pushes you in the neck. As much as they wanted, they walked as much. It’s hard to see everything in 1 day ... we once again sailed to Byugdey, leisurely wandered around the museum of T. Heyerdahl, read his diaries, watched a movie, then went to a cafe in Maritim, dined ... With a group - this is not real. Go to Oslo - do not hesitate, you will definitely like it!
