Road Trip Europe 2017. Haarlem, Netherlands. How I saw him.
I think it would be unfair not to show the city of Haarlem in everyday life, where the annual flower parade final takes place. As I understand it, there are no ugly cities in the Netherlands. I always devote the places where I go to photographs. They do not know how to lie, but convey the reality of my travels.
Traveling by car in the Netherlands is a great pleasure. The cities and towns of this country are simply beautiful. Harlem is no exception. This city I traveled far and wide, admiring its history and design. It seems to me that travel agencies should bombard Russians with various proposals for the Netherlands. It is very beautiful here against the backdrop of all of Europe. Haarlem is the capital of the province of North Holland. This large city (its territory occupies 32 km2, of which 2.6 km2 is occupied by water expanses) on the Sparna River is located only about twenty kilometers west of Amsterdam. Its population is about 148 thousand people. I want to notice 148 thousand happy people. The meaning of the name of the city of Haarlem is interesting. It means "high place on tree-covered sand". In the 17th century, Haarlem became the center of the tulip trade. I still cannot understand that the tulip trade is a very profitable business. Today you will not surprise anyone with tulips. They grow in almost any city in Russia, however, the same varieties. In Haarlem I was lucky with the weather. It was raining a little, there was a breeze, there was little sun, but this did not spoil my great impression of the Netherlands.
