If you are an adequate person and are not looking for special adventures, then you should not worry. The Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico are worth going there.

We were in December, some kind of cyclone passed and the sea was worried all the time, but this is not typical for the Riviera Maya (we were just unlucky, but it didn’t spoil our mood either, the waves are not very big, but not calm either). The beach is wide, long and clean. There are enough beds for everyone. On the beach there are 2 bars and a snack bar (during the day warm American food - chips, hamburgers, sausages, etc.). The rooms were a little better in Maya, and according to the dates of the construction of the hotels, I can’t tell you which one was built later. In the room we only slept and changed clothes, the rest of the time we spent on the territory and in bars. The food is very good. Here we first saw for dinner in the main restaurant (buffet) lobsters (lobsters), tiger shrimps, mussels and so on. We didn’t go to a la carte restaurants, we were afraid, and now we regret it, but we hope that next time we will definitely try everything.
