What to do. Do not sit on the veranda under the bungalow during the rain (as we did), close the doors and take something anti-inflammatory (such as Psilobalm or Betamethasone). By the way, Panthenol will not prevent burns (the sun fries GO-GO!)

Yes, it’s not a pleasant story with these midges ..-.. mosquitoes ... as they are called there correctly. Maybe plants grow on one, in which these midges live, but on others they don’t grow, so the midges are absent there ....
