The fashion for glamorous camping, or glamping, has come to the luxury holiday industry for a long time, but it took a long time to get to the Maldives archipelago. The Finolhu Hotel was the first of the local hotels to provide the "sky through the roof" service to its guests. It is offered to spend the night under the ultra-modern Beach Bubble awning, equipped with all the comforts of a modern home. This unusual holiday format is ideal for those who dream of the romance of real hikes, but are not ready to give up their usual comfort.
Specially commissioned by Eye in the Sky for The Small Maldives Co, the Beach Bubble Transparent Inflatable Sphere is made from a super durable waterproof fabric that also provides UV protection. It is located in a secluded part of the island on a 1.5 km long sandy spit.
The Beach Bubble has a double bed, a separate room with a shower and toilet, as well as a vinyl player, internet and a phone to call a butler. The interior features design solutions typical of Finolhu: the chairs are designed in turquoise colors, the floor is made of wood.
The high-tech "bubble" is equipped with a system that keeps it inflated and provides a continuous flow of air inside. The same system is responsible for maintaining the temperature - just set the desired numbers. When the lighting is off, the borders of the tent "dissolve" and the guests are left alone with the darkness and the Milky Way high in the sky. However, the "bubble" is no less suitable for meeting dawns.
