My husband and I arrived in the Maldives for 4 days at the Amary Hawoda Maledives hotel (from 11/13/2021 to 11/17/2021). Indescribable beauty, very polite and attentive staff, the warmest ocean. Everything is like in a fairy tale. Before departure on 11/17/2021, we are informed that my Covid test (done the day before 150 $) was positive. AND HERE THE TERRIBLE REALITIES BEGIN, ABOUT WHICH NO ONE WILL WARN YOU IN ADVANCE. Background: my husband was ill with Covid in January 2021. In July, we were vaccinated for the second time, before departure, a PCR test for Covid was done (our airline did not let us on the plane without a negative test). On the plane at 10:00, all passengers flew in masks. At the moment (today 11/20/2021) my husband and I are in quarantine, I have all the symptoms of Covid (temperature, taste, smell, cough). On the first day (11/17) we filled out a questionnaire about my symptoms and I was given pills. From that day on, no one else was interested in my health issue, except of course my relatives. That is, I have not seen a doctor... from the word COMPLETELY.


According to the laws of this country, an infected person must be quarantined for at least 14 days. And for a person who has close contact with an infected person, quarantine begins on the day he last had contact with an infected person. Those. if my husband and I were in quarantine for 14 days (NATURALLY AT OWN ACCOUNT), then after this period my husband must serve ANOTHER 14 days in quarantine (ALSO AT OWN ACCOUNT). In general, yesterday (11/19/2021) we demanded to be resettled in different rooms (NATURALLY AT OUR EXPENSE). In general, we are horrified by the upcoming bill. . . Food is put on the table in front of the balcony. You can’t go beyond the garden. We don’t know if the guests of the island, or those who are just going here, have been warned that there is an infected person on the island... And also we don’t know if the employees have been transferred of the hotel who have contact with us (masseur, translator, waiters) are quarantined. . .

After talking with Tui "what about plane tickets? ", we were told: "Well, that's your problem. . . book it yourself. " It's just PPC!! ! But that's not all. . . we called Lufthansa to rebook tickets backdated and HERE IS ANOTHER SURPRISE: the money for our tickets was refunded by TUI. . . I just have no words for everything that is happening. . .
