Day with audio guide
I've never used an audio guide before, so I decided to give it a try. It was not the first trip to Valletta and it seemed that everything had already been bypassed, but ...what if he missed something? Moreover, the price is only 8 euros. An audio guide is taken at the Archaeological Museum (this is on Republic Street, not far from the main gate). Do not forget the document - leave as a deposit.
For this price, in addition to the guide tube itself, they also give a map of Valletta with the sights marked in order and even their small photos - it helps a lot to decide on the spot. A thought slipped through that with such a map, an audio guide is not really needed))). I liked it very much - just a devil-machine! ! ! Approached the place, pressed the right button - and they personally tell you everything! If you don't want to listen, don't press the buttons! Tired of walking - sat down and drank a beer. Still tired, he lay down on a bench in the main square.
No more herd races for a guide, look to the right, look to the left… The text is just right – not too much.
It turned out that I did miss something earlier - Upper and Low Barrakka Gardens. And Plaza Castile.
From the museums I visited the Archaeological and the Hospital of the Hospitallers in the Sacra Infermeria. About 5 euros each - not that much, but I did not regret my decision.
There are also museums, but there were no forces for them. Next time.
By the way, in the Archaeological Museum there was an announcement that you can get a general ticket for several museums - at a discount (price - 20 euros). IMHO it is better to walk along the route and take pictures one day, and go to museums the next. And that can be tedious. Although the walk along the route takes an average of 4 hours.
As for the audio guide, definitely take it at any opportunity and at a reasonable price.
