Malta - Legacy of the Knights Hospitaller
I was lucky enough to fly to Malta for 4 days in November. A tiny island, almost devoid of vegetation, but how much it attracts with its originality and inaccessibility! We lived in the Hilton Hotel - 5 * in the resort of San Julians. The hotel is excellent in terms of service and food, but the beach is a problem, like almost everywhere on the island, stones and rocks, but the sea is amazingly clean. Even at the beginning of November, I didn’t want to get out of the water, it’s warmer than in the outdoor pool! Casino - for gambling lovers on the 22nd floor, and for lovers of a quiet relaxing holiday - the place is just perfect! The influence of England is felt at every turn, and it is not for nothing that English courses in Malta are in demand. But most of all, the influence of the chivalrous spirit is felt, which seems to be still present in the surrounding atmosphere, especially when visiting the ancient capital of Mdina and the current capital city of Valletta! Capitalism of the buildings erected by the knights of the Order of the Hospitallers is striking in its monumentality and architectural stylization. . The lack of rivers on the island explains the lack of free drinking water at the hotel. A bottle for 3.5 euros, please. . . And what kind of glass products are hand-blown by local artisans !! ! This must be seen! Crime is practically non-existent on the island, except for drugs. . . Even the president comes to his office without security, and if you wish, you can shake hands with him, if you're lucky. . . Amazing country. Highly recommended, especially for curious tourists.
