First of all, I want to note that I have not been to Montenegro for the first time and I have quite a lot of travel experience.
So, I'll start with the area, the villa is located about halfway up the hill of Sveti Stefan in the shade, has its own yard with vineyards and kiwi trees (which is a rarity). The road (stairs) to the sea did not cause any difficulties at all.
Villa: very clean villa, pleasant aroma and coolness at the entrance.
Room: we had the simplest option - standard (room number 14), while the room was in perfect condition (whoever has been to Montenegro will understand what options there are), excellent plumbing, strong pressure of both hot and cold water, air conditioner, kettle . We had a kitchen on the balcony, it was quite convenient. Breakfast on the balcony is a hot spot. Cleaning was every day.
I also want to mention Zheika, a wonderful lady who met us and was always happy to help or suggest something.
Definitely recommend. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I very rarely write negative reviews, but in this case I decided to write, maybe I will help someone) Since this is a terrible villa.
I bought a tour at the agency Come with us, tour operator Join. up We bought an apartment with a sea view, paid a significant additional sum. The photos on the website were of a beautiful seascape. But we really got a room with a view of the adjacent wall of the building.
Upon our request to change the room or compensate the money, the representatives of the villa (cleaning lady and hostess) started shouting at us and making claims about how we could provide photos and videos to the representatives of the tour operator. Then they simply refused to continue the conversation with us (
Later on the day of the eviction, at 10 o'clock, they started knocking on our room almost with their foot and shouting for us to get out of the room, although the brochure from the tour operator indicated that the eviction would take place before 12:00.
The room is not very clean, the plumbing and air conditioning are poor. A strong smell of sewage, it is necessary to constantly ventilate ((
I do not recommend choosing the Sara Lux villa, I have never seen such a terrible attitude towards guests (((
And most importantly, neither the travel agency nor the tour operator will protect you and defend your rights (((
The hotel matches the descriptions. We got a studio with a balcony and mountain views. At first we were sad, but then we realized that the view from the balcony is far from the most important thing. During the day it was hot to dine on the balcony - we dined in the room. And in the evening dinners at the restaurant - and we didn’t need a balcony at all. Therefore, we advise those who, like us initially, put the view from the balcony as a very important moment in their vacation, do not pay much attention to it. This view is important if the hotel is located on the coast. In the case of Sara Lux or the like, which are some distance away from the sea along the mountainside, we consider this unimportant. Believe me, even with such a view from the balcony, your impressions of a holiday in such a beautiful place as Sveti Stefan will not be spoiled in any way.
We had the best first impressions, including after meeting with the representative of R-tours Konstantin, who explained all the nuances of the holiday and from whom we bought three tours in Montenegro on his advice. And here the incident happened. He did not clearly enough explain to us where the transfers for excursions would depart from, and the next day we ended up in the wrong place where we should have expected the bus. Believe me, in the narrow streets and serpentines, as well as the many steps leading somewhere upstairs, it is difficult to figure it out in one or two days. Therefore, advice - take from him either a printout or a link via viber-whatsapp-telegram to the geolocation of the transfer stop in advance. He threw them off to us after we waited 40 minutes for the bus and went to the room without salty slurping.
He did not accept our claims to reschedule the tour or return the money, saying that our tour was "burning out" and that we were the first to get confused at the stop. By the way, this is not so. Because he himself told us the day before that he had been looking for one tourist for half an hour in the village. Also on the next tour, the entire bus waited for about 20 minutes for three tourists from Moscow, who also got entangled in the streets and steps. I still think that this is not the fault of the tourists, but of Konstantin. Therefore, take the geolocation of the bus stop in advance.
The mood was spoiled by a conversation with Konstantin, after which I contacted the company's management and explained the situation. By the way, it will be said that they reacted very quickly. We were contacted by a representative of the management of the Taisiya company and we were rescheduled for another excursion that suited us.
For which many thanks to R-tours and Taisiya in particular!
It remains to add that Sara Lux is not for the lazy - 207 steps from the Hotel lead to the sea. And the same back.
My wife and I overcame them quite cheerfully, like many others. But we met tourists a couple of times, for whom it was hard. Therefore, if your physical form is not in good shape - think about another version of the hotel - closer to the sea.
Well, a few words about the hostess of the hotel Zdravka. A very friendly and positive woman who understands Russian well and responds to any requests.
In conclusion, we really enjoyed our stay! It is in St. Stephen. in Budva there is a large crowding of tourists and the local population, which was complained to us by tourists who lived there in conversations on joint excursions.
We are exactly where we wanted to be!
What we wish you all!
We lived on the 5th floor (last) from the balcony we could see a piece of the sea and a piece of rock. If they lived on the 2nd or 3rd floor, the windows would surely rest against someone else's balcony or rock. .
I had to climb to the 5th floor by a narrow steep staircase, reminiscent of a ship's ladder.
on the stairs and in the rooms perfect cleanliness, the repair is excellent.
but at the same time, the water in the shower stays for a long time and does not drain. I tried to complain to the hostess, but she answered something in her own language and I realized that she knew about it and could not do anything. However, the woman is very kind. Towels are changed every day, cleanliness is maintained at the level. The room has a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, electric stove and utensils. Everything works.
to the sea you have to go down a very long and steep staircase, it is even more difficult to climb it. The beach is narrow, cramped, with large pebbles. The sea is clean and warm. There are no jellyfish, but there are fish in the sea. But at the same time, you can hardly buy seafood anywhere.
Near the hotel they sell vegetables and fruits from the car. Tomatoes are huge, very tasty - 1.2 - 1.5 euros, watermelon - 0.4 euros, peaches - 2-3 euros.
In a restaurant, a lunch for two with freshly caught whole baked fish cost 55 euros.
In general, due to the chaotic buildings and rocky terrain, there is a feeling of tightness and tightness. Yes, you can walk through the old park along the sea, admiring the expensive beaches - they cost 100-130 euros per day for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. But how long can you walk in one place? To go to neighboring Budva - 2 euros by minibus. And in Budva there are 10 times more people, the beaches are even more polluted (yes, there are a lot of smokers on the beaches, and many people throw cigarette butts at their feet).
So would I like to visit these places again? - No, once is enough.
