We are going to Montenegro in July. If you buy a tour now, without breakfast, you can take it for 62-72 tr. The question is - does it make sense to take it now, or is it worth waiting for last-minute tours?

Wouldn't you like to try it yourself? Now flights to Montenegro are not bad.

Yes, that's how I looked.
Flight St. Petersburg-Tivat-St. Petersburg in July for two costs about 45,000.
Accommodation for a week - another 20-25 thousand.
In the end, this is exactly what happens.

Look at Pobeda and at Aeroflot and from Moscow time. And there is a Russian-speaking group on Facebook for housing, you can search there. The transfer can be pre-ordered or with those from whom you will rent housing, or there are transfer companies, we ordered, we were not deceived. During the season, it is better to rent housing in small villages or on the outskirts, there will be darkness for people. I would not count on last-minute tours in the season.

What is a hot tour? Basically, it's a tour that needs to be sold, which rarely happens. As a rule, a lower price is obtained at the expense of housing. In Montenegro, you can frankly G .... Get. We rested somehow, our room was excellent, but there were such cage rooms in this villa .... Where is the window and the door ... I witnessed the clarification "why were we settled in this room ?? In general, I I wouldn’t rely heavily on a last-minute tour, but take a closer look at the accommodation that is offered and at the expense of breakfast - don’t take it. It is in Montenegro that they rarely cook normally in villas. You can always have a normal breakfast in a nearby cafe-restaurant. Personally, for me, an important point when the choice of housing was the presence of a stove for making morning coffee, because if you wake up early, then you won’t find it anywhere in the cafe before 9, and that’s very early for them. And we wake up at 7!!!

I will add that in July I won’t choose better, there I reduced the beaches that are not able to accommodate everyone. This is of course a central party place, but there are simply darkness of people !!!! Towels settle in the aisle. Crowds everywhere. We are, thank God, without children, so we poked our head in and got caught.

T9 .... Choose not Budva, maybe narrow beaches.
аватар Natali_NN
Yes, in ChG, in principle, you can do without a cafe, they often rent it with a mini-kitchen, and there is always a Turkish woman there, and in stores they sell good finely ground coffee in a cup and they also sell all kinds of semi-finished products with which vacation does not turn into strained.
аватар shwedd
If not Budva, what would you recommend? I looked at Herceg Novi. It’s a beautiful city, but there don’t seem to be any normal beaches there, you can descend into the sea from concrete platforms.
аватар Natali_NN
Further beyond Budva there are villages. Rafinovichi, Biceci, Przno, Sveti Stefani

Natali, where have you been in Montenegro? I have never met such name-calling resorts)) but as for coffee before 9 am, in Budva it is quite possible to find a non-stop cafe. But Budva is full of people in July-August, so of course people who don’t like crowds and noise should not go there, so as not to write negative reviews later
аватар Natali_NN
I? We rested in Budva, at the end of the season, the end of September - the beginning of October. But I didn’t write about the cafe until 9 am. We almost did not go to cafes, the only country where we did without them.
аватар Natali_NN
And so we traveled all over Montenegro in a circle, walked to Sveti Stefani on foot, we can’t lie on the beach.

I wrote about the cafe! We went to Montenegro for the first time in 2011, for May holidays, and since then we went there regularly until 2016. There were years when we went twice: in May and in autumn. But when the charters were rescheduled from May to the beginning of June, .... We went once in June ... We realized that something was wrong, in August it was generally sad, because there were just a lot of people, and in September somehow things didn’t work out for children. And they haven't been there in two years. We take our own coffee for brewing, because what is sold in their shops is .... Maybe coffee, but we didn’t like it. What is cooked in cafes is good, Lavaza Firm. We had breakfast mainly on the waterfront in a cafe that opened before anyone else. The rest were closed at this time, however, like all the cafes on the way to the beach.

As for, as you put it “reviews of resorts”, then you apparently definitely haven’t been to Montenegro, since the names Rafinovichi, Biceci, Przhno, Sveti Stefan are known to everyone :) these villages are named after the families and they are located beyond Budva and it’s definitely calmer there.

T9 .. I made adjustments to the text, I'm typing from the phone, but I'm sure that everyone will understand everything :)

Herceg Novi is very beautiful from the sea, but I would not want to live there. It is located on the slope of a steep mountain and climbing from the embankment to the bus station was mountaineering for me. In the Bay of Kotor it is always hotter than in Budva - there in July-August, like in an oven (there are high mountains and high humidity around). The promenade is long and the beaches are different. There are more Europeans, so only Russians, as in Budva, will not be enough there
аватар moy_contakt
At this time, Serbs also come to Budva en masse .... There are just dofiga of them there.

And if you live in Budva, and on the beach - in Becici? Based on the reviews I've read, a lot of people do this.
But at the same time, in Becici themselves they say that the infrastructure is not very good - shops, cafes, etc.
In general, I wanted to go on vacation earlier, in June, but it didn’t work out, it falls in the season itself.
аватар rospoint
In principle, you can catch a last-minute tour if you are ready to leave in 1-3 days. But success is not guaranteed. I would not go to Becici from Budva in the heat. In Budva you can find a place, if not on the beach, then under the palm trees behind the Embankment. You can take a sun lounger there. There are beaches near cafes - you take a cocktail and lie down. That is, even at the height of the season, a place can be found. But there really will be a lot of people.
аватар moy_contakt
Yes, in fact, Becici is practically Budva, they are nearby :) In Becici, the beach through the tunnel seems to be normal (were there several times, by the passage). You can safely live there and in the evening go for a walk in Budva. But you can stay further away. We lived exclusively in Budva, so it’s difficult for me to get my bearings, I’ll go out on the infrastructure in other places, but there are pebbles everywhere, that’s for sure. Again, what are you up to - eat in cafes or cook yourself. I didn't cook. At most, we bought prosciutto (or whatever it is called correctly :) and in the morning my husband made scrambled eggs on it with tomatoes and croutons :) again, precisely because we are early birds, the cafe is closed, but we wanted to eat :) we lived in a villa with a mini kitchen where you can easily prepare your meals.

T9... There are cafes everywhere, somewhere there are more of them, somewhere less, but there are a lot of them in the season :)

I remembered that there is a Hawaii beach on the island of St. Nicholas - so there is always a place on the beach. A boat from Budva used to cost 3 euros per person round trip. For a change, you can go 2-3 times.
In general, if you are already in the high season and in the heat, then it is better to take an excursion to the mountains - Tara and Moraca canyons. It is cooler in the mountains and in 1 day you will travel around almost the whole of Montenegro.

Good food for thought.)

shwedapl, in my review of Budva in the season (Simon's villa), you can look at my photos from the beach, well, to understand that the Budva beaches in the season are a la Crimea ... Towels in the aisle. We went to the beach early, because I don’t like water that has been rocked and we weren’t there until 10 in the morning. We carved out these 7 days for ourselves to rest without children and went on long-distance excursions that we could not afford with the children. And rafting:) it was our first experience, we were completely delighted:) after, we visited rafting in other places and Montenegrin was the weakest:) but for the first time!! :)
аватар moy_contakt
When we went in August and were looking for a place to swim during the day, we also went to Hawaii .... Read my review .... Not only could they not leave it back, there are a lot of boats, a ticket is bought immediately in both directions and, accordingly, to leave you need to catch exactly the boat from which you bought the ticket .... And they are very similar .. In general, they stood on the pier and asked each approaching boat if it was your ticket :). Gawai itself is a place for once .... But this is purely my opinion ..
аватар shwedd
I read the review. Yes, somehow it does not cling))
Maybe still try to do it before the Schengen vacation, so that there is more choice)

It’s easier for us, we have a visa-free :) in April, with the transition to May, we already rested with our family, so I also look at cheap flights to Spain, Italy, maybe even where together with my husband :) without children. But again, what is your priority: to see or to go to the beach :)
аватар rospoint
We were in Hawaii resting up after excursions. We lay down under the pines - there is a thick shade, a pleasant smell of pine needles and a beautiful landscape of Budva and its environs. And so in a day - one day excursion, the second Hawaii. And we came to the beaches of Budva itself on the day of arrival and on the eve of departure.
By the way, Montenegrins sometimes breed tourists, pretending that they did not understand the order. In Hawaii, instead of 1 beer and 1 soup, they brought us 2 each. And on the excursion, I asked for a sandwich, and they sold cheese and meat for 12 euros.

Not big lovers, my wife and I lie on the beach. He came, lay down for 10 minutes, bought himself, lay down for another 10 minutes, bought himself. Dry, got ready and went for a walk)
аватар Natali_NN
And so we traveled all over Montenegro in a circle, walked to Sveti Stefani on foot, we can’t lie on the beach. If interested, download the MAPS.ME map. it works offline, look at what villages there are, in the season it will be crowded and expensive in Budva. And when traveling, it will help, we have not only mastered the CHG)))
