from Bar to Bari (Italy) by ferry
Dear experienced tourists! We need advice: on July 1-15 we are resting in Sutomore, but we decided to kill two birds with one stone. I want to book a hotel in Rome for 8 days. how realistic is it to get to Bari by ferry, and from there to Rome on what? And what about border control in this case? The option of renting a car immediately disappears, I don’t drive. Visa has not been applied for yet. I travel by myself "savage". Do you think this option is realistic?
I will fly to Moscow from Rome.

You can fly to Rome by local lines. You also need to see if there are trains, go to the Trenitalia website, this is the Italian railway. You can order tickets there. By plane - any airline search engine, look at Alitalia. Book a hotel using any booking. when I was on a cruise, I saw in the port of Bari, but I don’t know how with them.

Here I went to aviasales.ru: Allitalia makes several flights to Rome. The price is now for one-1515 rubles for July, they can also book a hotel in Rome. There are also trains to Rome - 4 trains during the day. Tickets for June are not shown yet. Now the price is 51 euros for one second class. The journey takes 4 hours.

About the ferry. As far as I know, this ferry is a sightseeing ferry and they sell tours to Italy. In my opinion, you can’t just buy a ticket to Italy and leave for a week without a visa!!!
This time.
The second is that apart from this visa-free ferry there is nothing!
so everything depends on the visa.

Isn't it possible to buy a one-way ticket from Bar to Bari? Provided, of course, that the visa will be. Or is it only for sale there and back? Here I read http://www.o-montenegro.ru/articles/info/ferries but somehow I didn’t quite understand. That is, in my case, you need to do without an airplane.

If you have a Schengen visa in your passport, why not fly from Italy. There will be all tickets, hotel reservations, financial guarantees, get a Schengen. And I think there will be sea transport to Bari. Such a route will not work without a Schengen visa.

If you have a visa, then you can, if you are talking about a visa-free ferry, then only with a tour.
