duty free. Boryspil? Sharjah? Colombo?
Please tell me, do duty free work around the clock at Sharjah and Colombo airports? And where are the best prices for alcohol, in Boryspil? In Sharjah? In Colombo?

Duty free shops are open around the clock in the UAE airport.
Prices in Sharjah and Colombo (where there is Duty free upon arrival) are about the same.
It is more reasonable to buy strong drinks in Colombo, upon arrival at the place (after passing through border control, on the same 2nd floor).
There are wines and distillates of world brands, prices are quite affordable.

We arrive in Colombo late at night; Is duty free also open 24/7?

We bought drinks in Boryspil before the flight. We "tried" them on the plane. The prices are acceptable. But mostly we buy spirits in dutik from other countries.

For Ayubowan:
All Air Arabia flights, which are used by tourists from Ukraine, arrive in Colombo in the morning. And Duty free work in NON-STOP mode.
The KiskaMary experience "tried on the plane" on Air Arabia flights is NOT recommended. According to the rules of this company, drinking strong drinks on board is prohibited.
Violators are removed from the next flight.
So stock up on alcohol in Colombo so that there are no temptations))

Lanka-Lanochka, taking into account the fact that this is our first flight on an airplane, and, moreover, such a long one, we do not plan to “relax” on an airplane. This is for the evening fun! )))
I am sure that even without such libations in Lanka it will be pleasant and interesting, but the "Russian soul" will demand its own! )))
Thanks everyone for the replies!
P.S. I have always been pleasantly surprised by the gurus of the forums, who disinterestedly advise, give advice and explain the "rules of life"! Indeed, the world is not without good people! May this goodness return to you a hundredfold!

Ayubowan, good luck :)
Drink on Lanochka and don't be bored! Fortunately, Australian and South African wines are available there and are good.
Yes, and local rum in long drinks is not bad.
Beer (lager Lion) is also praised, but I still breathe beer, although Lion Stout for spicy Sri Lankan cuisine is really not bad.
Have a nice trip and hello Lanochka.
P.S. After nominating me for the "guru" of the destination, I got pissed off)) As for being ready to present SHL as a place worthy of real travelers, this is a BENEFIT property for me after working in a volunteer project in Bentota after the 2004 tsunami.
However, on vacation only about the good))

Having visited Lanochka, I can already answer my own question with confidence. Perhaps this will be useful to someone.
Dutik in Boryspil (terminal B) did not impress ... I didn’t even want to buy anything ...
Sharjah is great! Upon arrival, there is enough time to stock up on everything you need (if you are flying with Air Arabia, do not rush to check in for a flight. It is better to take a walk along the dutik than to languish for 40 minutes after check-in in the hall from which access is only to the plane. When departing from Sharjah, the dutik is much smaller than in the part of the airport where arriving passengers get in. I had to look for alcohol because Sharjah is the strictest emirate at the expense of alcohol. They hide it behind "screens". At first glance, it's hard to find. You can just ask the sellers - they will show.
In Colombo - also not bad. It has the lowest prices. For example, Gordon's gin, 1 liter. - 15 dollars (in Sharjah - 18). I was very surprised by the presence of household appliances in it))) Apparently, for the Sri Lankans this is a good savings item than buying in Lanka itself.

Aybowan, thanks for the comments on the Sri Lankan route: practical info is really useful for those who have already bought a ticket, but are tormented by questions, WHERE and WHAT can be found on the way to the Island.
It looks like you will soon get the status of "expert of the direction" ))

I'm still far from an expert! I've only been there once, but if I can help in any way, I'll be glad!

Your reviews of an indifferent traveler, peering into the country with interest, leave a good "aftertaste" - this is important!

Colombo airport is good. Upon arrival there is a large duty free shop. Prices are lower than in Domodedovo. You can also apply for an entry permit. There were no queues. Passport control went quickly. Then, almost at the exit, there are a lot of currency exchange points. Everyone has the same course. As of November 2013, it was 127.75 rupees for $1. They also bought a local Sim-card Dialog for $12. Enough for the whole trip. From the airport building, while waiting for other tourists, the husband went outside to smoke. He was not allowed into the airport, he had to buy an entrance ticket. So he was waiting for us outside. On departure, back in the lobby, there are a lot of shops selling souvenirs, tea and cashew nuts (very large and tasty). We found where bags are packed in cellophane only after the first inspection. They charged $10 for a bag. But there are no rates anywhere. He announced, it seems to me, "from the ceiling." There were long queues for check-in (flight to Doha). I recommend registering online (there was no queue in this window). Passport control went quickly. Duty free shops - as always - perfumes, cosmetics, alcohol. Many branded tea shops (but prices are more expensive, for example, we bought Macwood tea at the factory for 320 rupees, and there 640), jewelry ma
