It was autumn. As the locals themselves say, Trincomalee is considered the best - beautiful beaches. but this is an undeveloped area and close to the separatist zone, so no one offers it. maybe in 5 years something will get better there and they will build and improve it.
we were in Bentota. beautiful. this is not egypt - there is no hotel on the hotel. beach strip ocean and jungle. - you feel that you are alone here. and about the sand, rollex is absolutely right. brown or dark dark yellow. were at the Taj exotic hotel. and palm trees and sand and water =). for me the main thing was the feeling of freedom. I wanted space. I received it there. and there are so many good hotels. but if you decide to go to Bentota, then just not Bentota beach .. =)

With white sand - in the east, where the season is from May to September: Nilaveli, Trincomalee, Pasikuda and up to Arugama Bay (but there are only 3 * hotels). So that palm trees to the water or a strip of sand - the cutest place in Bentota is the Saman Villas hotel. If you like private places - then Apa Villa in Thalpe. Mmmm, I love it ;-) But Lighthouse is also a favorite, although the beach there is not long, but the cutest ... And its own cape with palm trees!
