We flew to Sri Lanka in October 2012 with Join Up.
There were 3 moments when we needed the services of this operator. Transfer to the hotel, transfer to the airport and excursions. Nothing more is required from the operator.
Unless of course there are any problems.
By transfer to the hotel: usually the transfer guide talks about the country, orients on prices, exchange rates, etc. Ours was silent, no matter how hard we tried to talk to him. Although he knew the Russian language not bad (compared to others, as it turned out later). But on the offer of a can of beer, which one of our tourists made to him, the reaction was positive and he drank 2 cans perfectly during the move.
He became very "brave" and DEMANDED us when we checked into the hotel !!! tips. We were quite tired after the flight and reached for the money. When exchanging money at the airport, we were given large bills and there were a couple of hundred rupees. So, when we handed 100 rupees to transfer guide Joyne Up, he literally said "You came to our country, it is poor and you MUST!!! tip at least 500 rupees!!!" This summer I vacationed in Crete, Rhodes and Tenerife, and all 3 times with Joyne up. In general, there are no complaints, everything is super fast and smoothly. Excellent hosts.
