when you go to anuradhpura you must cover up to the knees, the shoulders must be covered....
if you are climbing sigiriya don't wear shoes.just sliper wear..it will be comfortable.. i climbeed sigiriya more than 30 times with my foreign friends...don't wear skirts before sigiriya because it's windy version on the top and you can't go up.. wear short... nuwara eliya tempeture is 12 at nght time.. so if you can wear warm clothes it will be better... there is a nice view at night you can go for a walk and see them at night

Shorts are not allowed in the temple, shoulders and knees must be covered. In Nuwara Eliya it’s normal during the day, but it’s really cold in the evening, take warm clothes there. In Sigiriya, we wore zip-up sandals and normul. The climb is not as hard as some describe it.

agree with everyone. I would also add that you can’t wear shoes in temples, so I advise you to put socks in your backpack on such days. It helps: for those who disdain, for example, to walk barefoot, and for those who do not want to "fry" their legs if the stones get very hot under the sun :)
