We were in Unawatuna in January. We lived in Unavatuna beach resort 3*. I liked it very much. True, they lived in luxury suites. Good numbers. The room has a large bed and a sofa. TV, fridge and tea set. Ironing board with iron, split. Huge bathroom with Jacuzzi, shower, washbasin and toilet. Large balcony overlooking the ocean and pool directly below the windows. These cases stand a little apart. Wi-fi in the room and on the balcony everywhere without problems. They fed well. We had breakfasts and dinners. Dinners for those who live in suites can be ordered on the ocean. The ocean is beautiful, very warm, there are waves, but small, and the temperature is like fresh milk. A lot of cool cafes with fresh seafood. I recommend Luky Tuna - very tasty and inexpensive. As for the deluxe and super deluxe, I won’t say, but they are in a different building. In general, we really liked it. I can safely recommend.

went with us to tangalle hotel eva lanka (more reviews on the top hotel) are familiar with the owners and therefore for us and our friends the price is $ 125 for a 69 sq. chalet with dinners. per day . We were in March and loved it. August is off-season so it won't rain. the hotel has its own lagoon - a calm ocean (if it can be calm at all:) This is the most beautiful place on earth!!!
