The beach is clean, guarded, you want to lie down in the shade of trees, you want under an umbrella. An excellent pool overlooking the ocean, there is a second pool, but in the garden, a jacuzzi, etc. Of course, the locals who sell rags on the shore are annoying, but they do not go beyond an invisible line :), apparently there is some agreement and rules between the hotel and the locals . They stick when you go to swim in the ocean, but they don’t grab your hands, so everything suited us perfectly. Few swim in the ocean to. it is unsafe, at some point the guards asked to urgently get out of the water, as far as we understood, this was due to special waves that could drag into the ocean, we even managed to experience it ourselves, we hardly got ashore and after that we tried deeper, than not to go up to the waist. In the morning there was always sunshine, after dinner it rained for an hour or two, we dined and went to bed, in the evening the weather returned to normal.

It is better to relax from October to April, of course, you can also in summer, but since the monsoons blow very hot, it often rains and the ocean is worried almost constantly. The resorts are all for everyone, who needs a good beach, who prioritizes the availability of infrastructure near the hotel. In my opinion, there is a private beach only at the Mount Lavinia 4 * hotel, at the Riverina 4 * hotel there is very good food, there are a couple of bungalow-type hotels Villa Ocean View and Kosgoda beach four.
