Otherwise, everything is great, everything is beautiful. In general, I give a link to my YouTube channel, there is all the material on the hotel and excursions. Short informative videos: Oleg Pi is the name of the channel and a link to the playlist for Sri Lanka: https://bit. ly/2Uma77x
Many thanks to Danuka for the warm and cheerful welcome!! ! The most hospitable person I have met here! Sincere, good-natured, cheerful and just a GOOD PERSON!! ! Having tried many places in the area, I stopped at the Natalia restaurant. Thank you Danuka for great seafood, good mood and great excursions!! ! Hope to meet you again!!!
P. S. I will definitely recommend you and your place to all my friends!
From Kyiv with love!! !
I liked everything very much, the hotel is nice clean, the rooms are cleaned every day (tea, coffee, kettle! water). We had BB (breakfasts) full of food, only fresh juices, all the delicious variety of food is excellent.
The rest of the time we ate in a cafe opposite the hotel "Natalie" very large portions! ! variety of fish, lobster, shrimp, super prices, everything is fresh! ! there we met our best friend and cafe owner Denis, who offered us excursions, from which we got unforgettable impressions and emotions! We highly recommend!
I hope we will return to this amazing beautiful country))) which left unforgettable impressions for a lifetime!! ! And of course, a special thanks to Denis for the excursions and delicious dinners ; -)
We arrived at the hotel early in the morning. We were warmly welcomed - treated with juice, presented with a flower (a trifle, but nice) and settled for half an hour in a good Deluxe room with a side view of the ocean. The room has everything you need - TV, refrigerator, kettle, hair dryer. Coffee, tea, sugar, bottled water were replenished daily as needed. From bath accessories - soap, shampoo, shower gel, caps, sanitary packages. There was always hot water. Good wi-fi in the room and throughout.
Meals were taken only for breakfast, because we did not plan to spend all the time at the hotel.
There was no particular diversity, but there was no need to starve. Probably the menu is more interesting in the high season. There are local dishes, there are also European ones. There is almost no meat, fish for breakfast. From fruits - pineapples, passion fruit, bananas, watermelon. There are some baked goods. We dined and dined outside the hotel - gatherings on the territory of the hotel with your drinks or food are not very welcome by the administration. In the room you can, but on the territory - no. Were in all the nearby restaurants - the prices are almost the same, it's delicious everywhere in principle. But they preferred "Natalie" next to the hotel, which is the merit of the owner of this institution, Dani. Cheerful good-natured guy. He can also arrange tours.
We highly recommend that you carefully consider the choice of guides, because in many respects your impressions of the rest will depend on them.
Tip - pay for trips and excursions only at the end of the trip, do not give deposits and read the reviews of tourists.
In general, the holiday left good memories. The most valuable thing on the island is communication with nature, observing animals in their natural environment and a lot of exotic fruits. Someday we would like to come back here again)))
- if your holiday is planned as quiet, calm and relaxing, then Kalutara is what you need. If you prefer to see your compatriots less often, the Tangeri Hotel is what you need. But if you are after a party, eating communication, then this is definitely not your place. If your “backbiters” are with you, this is not yours. You'd better go to the very south, where there are beautiful bays for swimming.
- Immediately I advise you not to take all-inclusive service in the hotel. Prices are just knocked out of balance. . Outside the hotel there are plenty of cafes where you can eat deliciously and inexpensively. For 13 days of rest, we have identified a couple of favorites for ourselves. Most of all we ate at Green Lobster. We went there with skepticism, but after trying seafood soup there and actually the fish itself, shrimp, and lobster... we returned there again. Of all the cafes - the soup there is the most delicious. Oasis is also a good kitchen . . but being bitten by ants there, they stopped going there. We just got unlucky here, nothing more . .
- What you will immediately encounter when leaving the hotel is the obsessive service of local tuk-tukers and others who want to drive you around, feed you and show you around the island. You just need to be ready for this, so as not to break loose and not be rude... but this is their bread and work... therefore we endure and enjoy the rest. We , before the holiday , googled the Internet in search of a guide . And we settled on a young man named Lashan . . there are a lot of good reviews about him and we decided not to risk it and turned to him. For which thanks to everyone who was not too lazy and posted reviews about him and his coordinates on the Internet. What immediately captivates in him is his unobtrusive approach to the tourist . . he will calmly listen to your wishes first, and only then will he offer his own. Our priority was to get to Sigiriya. The tour was planned for 2 days . . And thanks to him that he did not take us with the usual tourist routes, but offered his own version, from which we were completely delighted . . Sunrise with a view of Sigiriya, overnight at the hotel with a view of the mountain hills and tea plantations . . cannot be expressed in words what emotions we received from what we saw. M
- take sunscreen with high protection, sitting in a room for two, three days because of sunburn is painful and insulting.
- And finally: Take less clothes and more money! And of course great vibes! Sri Lanka is a great country with friendly and hospitable people, self-respect, beautiful children, red dogs, amazing sunsets, delicious Cuisine, temples and Buddhists. . .
