We also went with Kasun, a very pleasant guide. He knows Russian normally but does not understand everything, but ignorance of Russian is compensated by his attitude !!! at Sigiriya, in the Temple of the Tooth of the Buddha there were excellent speaking and understanding guides. By the way, only locals with a license can be guides in the country, compatriots at the hotel went through the operator's tour in the hope of a good Russian-speaking guide - they spat from the guide - he spoke badly. The locals are more interested in you.
