Good evening everyone! So, the choice of the hotel was not accidental. After reading the reviews, and having already decided that we were going to Hikkaduwa, we chose it. Advantages - close proximity to the ocean, there is simply no closer in Hikkaduwa). Small (I don’t like thousands of hotels, where there is always a queue for everything - food, towels, at the reception), next to a gorgeous beach with a coral reef and reviews about it “not very” break the entire Internet, I found only a couple, while there are a lot of others. We got to the hotel by seven o'clock in the evening, despite the fact that we left the airport at 13.15. . . Upon arrival, cold mango juice, wet towels, 2 minutes and we are in the room. I want to dispel the myth right away, I don’t know why the one who wrote here on the site decided so. I read that they say do not take even numbers - they do not overlook the ocean ! ! But no, just the even ones come out, in any case, with regard to our floor - 1.108 - the most that neither is overlooking the ocean and not because of the corner, fence or wall, but right! ). We also got an ocean view with some other terrace, because everyone with a view was busy and everyone who came with us (12 people) was settled in different rooms and many had worse rooms. But this hotel does not have rooms facing the road! From any one way or another you can see the ocean! I thought that discrimination is, as always, the best for the Germans)). But no, they left and ordinary Ukrainians settled in their rooms)). By the numbers, if you find fault, then yes, the rooms are not chic, but everything you need is there. a TV that no one needs there, a refrigerator with drinks inside (of course for a fee), air conditioning, turned on at night and slept to the sound of the air conditioner and the ocean, the ocean was stronger)). Linen changed every day! Towels too. True, there are only two towels, one per person, so to speak, from feet to face, all one). In the bathroom, we were leaking, sorry, the toilet, but they regularly wiped the floor with a rag every day, we didn’t understand, we only changed clothes and slept in the room. The shower worked - they have awesome water! Soft, skin and hair are gorgeous after it, not like after our Kiev water)). From accessories-shampoo, soap and "bonnets" for hair)). There is no safe in the room. Safe at reception. But I had this moment. I decided to put the laptop in the safe, they said it was busy until 14.00. . . ?? ? She spat and did not bother, left the laptop and documents in the room. Everything is in place. Some vacationers still managed to hand over money and documents to the safe. . I guess I'm just unlucky). Towels for the beach are issued at the hotel, just by appointment. Food. I don’t know who wrote there that there was little food. . just enough. And there is always a choice. We had breakfasts and dinners. Meat-chicken, beef, pork. Different fish, papaya fruits, bananas, mangoes, watermelon, passion fruit, pineapple, this was always enough and plenty. Various curries, garnished with potatoes (in different variations), rice, spaghetti. Desserts, various mousses, cakes, you definitely won't go hungry. Tea in bags, but good, there were Lipton in bags for several days, so we could not understand why it is so different from our Lipton ? ? But here's the thing - a bag full of tea, and not like ours, at the bottom)). At dawn (and it dawns late there. . around 7) or at sunset, sitting at a table you see this boundless such an alluring ocean. . . that's why I chose this particular hotel! ) In the evenings there was live music, they played for-no. . and sang famous songs from Jackson to Adele. . BUT. . I almost forgot, another advantage when choosing a hotel is free Wi-Fi. In the lobby, on the terrace at the tables and in the rooms (it was rather weak in the room. ) The hotel is for those who will not look for faults, bother about minor inconveniences. So feel free to go and enjoy the noise and view of the ocean at a table with a Sri Lankan curry and a glass of rum !!! !
