DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!
You can go to it only if you have no other options, but the desire to visit Sri Lanka is so great that you can no longer live with it for a minute!
And here are my arguments:
1. The hotel is very dirty. The first thing we saw in the room was a dirty tablecloth on the table, a white bed covered in stains and dirty towels. The dust is not wiped anywhere - on the TV, the fan, above the bed, everywhere there is a long-term layer of dust. Pillows have a disgusting smell, it is not possible to sleep on them!
2. Cockroaches will become your frequent guests during your vacation, so big, Asian.

3. A camera was stolen from our friends, the administration is not responsible for things in your rooms. Going to the police is a waste of a lot of time. You are provided with a small safe at the reception, but you won’t be able to store your equipment in it, and besides, it’s very inconvenient to run there every time. So get ready for the fact that you will have to carry a laptop, camera, phone, etc. with you everywhere and everywhere, or leave it with fear in the room, in the hope that you are lucky and your things will stay with you.
4. One day we were absent from the hotel, because we went on an excursion. In compensation for the breakfast and dinner we missed, we were given dry rations. And about a miracle! it was carefully filled with live meat - ants.
5. The cost of dinner includes food, but you need to ask for water for a long time to bring you, while clearly explaining that you need water from a decanter, and not from a bottle. For bottled water, you will have to pay about $ 4. There are no drinks on the buffet.
If you are not afraid of the above, then you will be interested to know about the pluses that were still in this hotel.
1. Our room was with a direct view of the ocean, which was 100 meters from the hotel, the view is amazing!
2. The food was quite acceptable, you could also find delicious dishes.
3. Wi-fi, as promised, is available in the hotel. Not in the room, of course, and does not work all the time, but nonetheless.
4. Not far from the hotel, almost the only beach on the coast with dead corals, but beautiful fish and turtles. And corals protect the coastal zone from big waves, which makes it possible to swim in any weather. For example, we went to the beach 5 km away from this hotel in the direction of Matara, the waves were so huge that it was not safe to go into the water knee-deep. True, there are no hotels there, only guest houses.

And finally, THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE TO ALL TOURISTS. When going to Sri Lanka, do not use the services of travel agencies. Absolutely safe and much cheaper! independently buy plane tickets, insurance and book a hotel room. Even if your knowledge of English is minimal, you have never traveled on your own - everything is very simple and clear. Even if you take a taxi right at the airport to your hotel several times more expensive than in other places, you will still win in the cost of the trip. For example, a room in our HB hotel cost $22 per person per night, through an agency - we paid $50. And most importantly, the agency will not help you with anything other than selling excursions at inflated prices.
I will answer all your questions, so write. And have a nice rest, without negative impressions!
