it is better to rent a tuk tuk for a day and go to Galle. We were offered, but we did not dare, because I do not drive a motorcycle very well. I drove a tuk-tuk in a not very sober state, and then along rural country roads. I was afraid to go to the track. If you know how to drive a motorcycle or scooter - feel free to take a tuk tuk and go with a song in Halle for example. I think this will be the best tour. Now I regret not going. After all, often the managers in the offices who book excursions from the coast and appoint guides have no idea about the level of qualification of THEIR guides. You can get to Halle without a bike, by public transport.
Go outside the Club Bentota pier, at the bus stop (the hotel guards will tell you exactly where) take the bus number 02 Colombo - Matara towards Galle, get off in front of the Fort (ticket 50-60 rupees one way) and walk around the Fort at your pleasure .
