What souvenirs would you recommend to bring?
Dear experts!
Recommend what you can buy in Cambodia, which is not in Pattaya, China (we often go there). Another question: I want to buy a large painting (with a temple complex), how much it can cost, how to transport it (we fly by plane)
Thanks in advance for your advice!

I can only give an approximate answer. In Bali, a painting measuring 30 by 70 cm in a carved wooden frame cost me 25 dollars (unframed - 15). I think that in Cambodia a big picture can cost no more than 100-150 dollars. But if in Bali and Thailand there are paintings at every step, then in Cambodia I don’t remember that I saw at least one. I was not specifically interested in this issue.

thanks logint! Tell me, please, if I want to take out a large painting (one and a half meters per meter, at least), how can I transport it at the airport. Simply, I have never traveled from Thailand and Cambodia. I'm from Vladivostok, we carry everything from China

there are pictures. it is easy to transport: you buy a canvas with a picture, without a frame, and transport it in a tube. order a frame at home
I don't know prices
the souvenir is the same EVERYWHERE, in Thailand, in Cambodia, in Malaysia, in Vietnam. prices are almost the same.

From souvenirs, you can freely buy a Pussy Raiot costume, but seriously, in Siem Reap there is a Lacky Mol department store, and opposite it is a souvenir shop. There are different things, I bought a T-shirt from Angkor Wat. T-shirts there are more expensive than those of the merchants in the temple complex, but better quality and not so lurid.

there is a whole nightmarket for souvenirs if that)))))))

Anetka-gan, Loqint! Thank you very much!!! For me, REALLY, very valuable information.
Tell me more: is it worth it to go up in a hot air balloon (next to Angkor Wat)? Safely? Interesting? Or is it better to spend this time on foot inspection of Ankor
Thanks in advance for your advice!

for an amateur. Angkor didn't impress me at all.

It's clear

The most interesting thing is the accompaniment of a good, better Russian-speaking guide and an independent ascent to the 3rd level of Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat. But a walking tour does not give a holistic view of the complex. Therefore, its continuation in a balloon can be interesting. Safety, both for self-propelled guns and balloons, can only be guaranteed by the Almighty.

And what kind of "horror stories" do they write that it is possible to break and break when lifting? What level is this? Or are we talking about something else?

You can break off as soon as you descend from the temples of Angkor. But there is nothing to worry about if you are careful and careful. Even older tourists walk without incident on specially built wooden stairs. In this case, another question arises: "How did the emperor, without these stairs, get to the third level, where he was supposed to pray?" The Cambodian guides answer that the emperor walked straight up the steps of the pyramid. And since he is like a god, nothing was impossible for him. And how it actually happened for me remained unknown.
