Journey to Jordan
I would like to share my impressions of my last trip to Jordan.
It was a month ago. I am not a fan of lying on the beaches and eating endless donuts and beer, so I immediately began to look for companies that offer something more intelligent and interesting. As it turned out, there are very, very few of them in Ukraine. After three days of climbing on the Internet, I settled on a company with the long name "Business Travel and Tourism Agency (ABTT)". They, at least, try to be different and really offer different interesting things.
After studying the material, I asked to make me a tour of the most interesting places in Jordan. After several days of discussion, the program looked like this: Amman - Dead Sea - Petra - Wadi Rum desert.
So let's go.
The Dead Sea. I chose the Kempinski Hotel. Rest, so rest. The prices there are, of course, exorbitant, but the service and attitude are worth it... I lay on the surface for a couple of days, improved my health, so to speak, and went on.
Peter. There are a lot of tourists, there are also enough local barkers. Any movement in your direction requires a “baksheesh”… the walking part of visiting Petra is quite long and requires a certain amount of endurance… Especially if you want to reach the end, the highest mountain and see the breathtaking scenery. The company AVTT warned me that the tour of Petra includes a ticket for a donkey... Ie. you can ride it back and forth completely free of charge... Many tourists, seeing the beauty, immediately forget about it and run forward faster than any donkey . . I was no exception, so I only remembered about the ticket when I had to go back... and the distance was about 2 km... After a short squabble with the driver that I had everything paid for, I was seated in a makeshift saddle and we shook to my car... The impression of Petra is, of course, very, very much . . How could this be built in the sands without a bunch of cranes, foremen and drunken builders... ? ? !! ! This creation is truly one of the greatest on earth… You understand it only when you stand next to it… Not a single photo can convey the size and feelings. . You can only experience it!
Further, my path lay in the desert of Wadi Rum. What can I say. . . it's strength. . . When you get there, you begin to understand how big the world is and how small we are. . . I want to leave everything and stay here to live. . . There is no city fuss, no cars, no our redneck and politicians. . . You are alone and next to you there is only endless nature… So cool, such feelings…. It is impossible to transfer.
In general, the trip was a success, at a high ideological and artistic level. Thanks to AVTT for the route and organization, thanks to my inner self, for a sea of impressions and a break from the bustle of Kiev…
