Excursion to the holy places of Jordan. Epiphany Site, Mount Nebo and Madaba City
The Place of Baptism - Mount Nebo - City of Madaba
Our journey will begin from the place of the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River, where people have been coming for almost two thousand years, with the hope of receiving healing of soul and body after washing. The second point of our pilgrimage route will be Mount Nebo, which is considered the burial place of the prophet Moses, and from where, from a bird's eye view, you will see the beauty of the Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley, as well as Jerusalem temples. Well, at the end of the tour we will head to Madaba - one of the brightest and most memorable cities in the Holy Land. It is often referred to as the "city of mosaics" - it is here that stunning Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics are located. The most popular of them is a mosaic - a 4th century map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land, which is located in the Church of St. George. Over two million colored fragments of local stone depict hills and valleys all the way to the Nile Delta. . .
