The extraordinary city of Bari
Hello everyone, I really want to share with you my impressions of one special excursion. One of its features is that you fly to your destination and return back by plane, which is comfortable in itself and saves a lot of time. I immediately purchased this tour and did not regret it at all, because the prospect of sailing to Bari by ferry all night did not please me very much. It all started with the fact that from the hotels I and other people were collected by bus. We all arrived at the airport together, went through passport control, boarded the plane, and in 40 minutes we were already in Italy. Everything is clear, fast, organized. After arrival, we were met by our guides and we went to the buses, the numbers of which we were told in advance. As soon as the bus started our journey began. The first thing we visited was the Basilica of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. In the basilica are his myrrh-streaming relics, to which you can venerate. I was able to take communion, order prayers for my relatives and friends, and, of course, venerate the relics of this saint. I want to say that this place is amazing, it is so calm there and there is such a feeling that a wonderful power penetrates through and through and bright feelings overwhelm. After the service, everyone was able to purchase for themselves a wonderful world, illuminated icons, crosses. Then we went to a meal. Mm, Italian food. Let me tell you, they know a lot about food. It was delicious. First they brought us appetizers (mozzarella cheese with cherry tomatoes, pesto baguette, cold cuts), then there was pasta and fish with potato chips, and all this was served with red, rosé and white wines. After a hearty lunch. We, accompanied by our tour guide, went on a tour of old Bari, its Greek quarters. By the way, the guide's name is Sergey. Charming, artistic and charismatic young man. Everyone listened with bated breath. During his story, he chose words that definitely crept into the soul of each of us. Many had tears in their eyes. I think they were tears of joy and peace. During a walk through the old city, we were shown a pillory, another basilica, the streets of the old city and a fortress. The architecture here is sophisticated and in general the whole city carries a person / atmosphere of taste and grace. After the tour, we visited another interesting place - the Russian Compound. There is a beautiful two-tier temple with emerald domes. The upper part is the temple of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the lower part is Spiridon Trimifundsky. Very beautiful temple complex with a huge garden. Our day was gradually coming to an end and this means that the tour too. I really didn't want to leave this place. But the thought warms that I took a piece of this miracle (peace) home and shared it with my relatives. Many sincere thanks for the fact that people have the opportunity to feel what I am on this day.
