Unforgettable trip to Bari
Hello everyone! I would like to tell you about my trip to the island of Corfu, namely the tour offered by Mouzenidis. For only the second year, such a unique opportunity has been provided to visit the Italian city of Bari, on an air tour, the duration of which is generally one day. I learned about this excursion on the company's website, and since we planned to spend our vacation in Greece, our choice fell on the island of Corfu, which I already wrote about in previous stories. To visit Bari by plane is a truly unique opportunity.
In the morning you are picked up by bus and taken to the airport. Very convenient organization of the tour, when you arrive at the airport, you are already registered for the flight and you just have to get your boarding passes. The screening was carried out instantly, before we had time to look back, we were already landing in the beautiful town of Bari. The flight went well, we were offered soft drinks and cookies.
After arrival, we were met by our tour guide, and we immediately went to the most important and significant place in the city - the Basilica of St. Nicholas. The basilica looks just incredible, you need to see it with your own eyes to believe in the existence of such an amazing place. Then you go to the Divine Liturgy, in Russian, and after it you will have a unique opportunity to touch the myrrh-bearing relics of St. Nicholas. Such an event, for sure, does not happen often in life, it is a truly special experience. A special sacrament that you can experience together with other people who are close to you in the temple, but at the same time deeply personal, inside your soul. You will be able to ask the great Saint for the most important things. Then you go to a meal in a nice Italian restaurant, where you will be offered delicious Italian cuisine, salads, spaghetti, delicious wines. And then you will find an amazing walk through the town of Bari. Small narrow streets, Greek quarters, local attractions - all this incredibly conveys the atmosphere of this town. Having enjoyed your acquaintance with the city, you return to the basilica again, to listen in detail about the history of this amazing place. The last point of the sights that we visited was the Russian monastery courtyard, where there are also a lot of shrines. After that, with a friendly staff, you go to the airport, from where you return to Greek soil. The tour takes all day, but this is truly one of the most significant days in our lives. Special thanks to the tour guide, without his knowledge and ability to tell, the tour would not have been so impressive!
