I may be wrong, but I have the impression that you have never been to India before. If the beaches are usually OK, then the promenade and Russian-language TV are problematic.

Combining your two desires in India is quite difficult. There is either a secluded hotel with a good beach, where complete relaxation, or a hotel in a village where the beach is not very good, but there are people and shops and shops. Something will have to be sacrificed.

In January-February we were in Kerala. Week excursion "Magical Kerala" group tour. There were 7 of us from Ukraine, we always had a Russian-speaking guide and driver with us. We traveled by minibus. We liked. We were in India for the first time. The rest are "experienced". They said that we did not see India, because we did not see beggars, terrible dirt and, perhaps, some kind of extreme exotic. We used to be in Sri Lanka, where we also really liked it. A week later we went to different hotels. But then we met, because the guide, who lives in Trivandrum, offered us a tour of the city, which was not in the program. We discussed the hotels in which we got. I think our Betside hotel turned out to be the best. A wonderful very secluded beach, Ayurveda, as we understand it, is at a good level. We did not take advantage of this, because this is a long process, it is worth doing this only if you are there for at least two weeks. Cosmetic procedures can be completed in a shorter time. You can walk to the shops - 20 minutes. By tuk-tuk 5-10 minutes and funny money, I don’t remember how much. There was nothing to do there. Went once. For little money it was possible to go "to the people", I forgot the name of the central beach.

Meals at the Betside Hotel are specific, mostly vegetarian. There is no alcohol. Once I managed to order fish and beer. Alcohol was his own))), and food cost.
