It will be comfortable if you are about the sea, but the food is not very good. Well, of course, it depends on which hotel you have chosen. It is better to take South Goa.

Author, how many more countries do you plan to substitute in a pre-prepared question?

Dear 210560! January is great in Goa. But, you need to take into account that after Goa, where the temperature during the day is above 30 degrees, you will have to return with your child to your native Kazakhstan, where the temperature will not be so kind. Estimate the temperature difference (back and forth), the time you plan to spend at sea in winter (2 weeks or a month and a half), the child's health (how easily he tolerates acclimatization) and make a decision. And Goa is good, just wonderful. Both North and South. Cheer up in the North, calmer in the South.

We flew with my son when he was 6 years old, two years later again. Both times the child was delighted with the ocean and Goa in general, there were no stomach problems everywhere))) the hotels were average, but everything worked out for us. Fly! Everything will be fine!

We flew to GOA 3 times and took our son with us. The first time he flew with us, he was 7 years old. I always choose a hotel myself and very scrupulously, so it was a high-quality 4 for breakfast and dinner (dinner was a must, otherwise the hotel did not work then), we dined in the neck. There were never any problems with the stomach during all the time of our trips, despite the apparent unsanitary conditions and the conditions for cooking. The ocean hit everyone. The son, despite frequent trips to other countries, asks for India. By the way, they took him with them to Sri Lanka, not that.

"I always choose a hotel myself and very scrupulously, so it was a high-quality 4 for breakfast and dinner" - laughed ))
In India, what is a 4, what is a 0, is drawn by the owners themselves from the ceiling. Hotels +- are all the same. As a rule, "included breakfasts" are more expensive than those in shek and less tasty. It's easier to take a hotel without anything and eat where you like.
In Goa, the sea, not the ocean, but this is not critical. GOA is beautiful for everyone :)

Life - ok, I am aware of how hotels in India are assigned stars. Therefore, I choose very carefully - I look at the construction period, read reviews (so that there are no walls and mattresses black from mold), and so on. I agree with you about breakfasts, the same can be said about dinners (out of 3 trips, dinners were included only once and there was nowhere to go, therefore, if we didn’t like the food, we caught up in the neck). And I’ll add at the expense of stardom - how many hotels I looked at (including on the spot), if a deuce is usually horror in any case, 3-4 * - you need to read the reviews. We rested for the first time in a coconut grow - of course there were disadvantages, but the hotel is not bad, very cozy and tidy. And 2-dy in nanu Resort is also a good hotel. Both, by Indian standards, pull on 4 *.

And I’ll add to the breakfast account, we are early birds, the body, even after the flight and time shift, woke us up early. And so I really wanted to eat. The time of our rise coincided with the beginning of breakfast at the hotel, but they still slept in the neck .... And even with a weak breakfast at the hotel (they were rather weak, but there was always an opportunity to have a toast with scrambled eggs) coming to the beach, this breakfast was enough for us to reach the opening of the neck.

The truth is that on Booking etc. you will find only expensive and not the best hotels. Well, if you eat on your own without a ticket, then it’s better to look / choose locally. You can also find "palaces". That's why it's good to read reviews. Stars - do not play any role at all.
You also don’t have to count on breakfast time, because hotel employees can afford to sleep until 11 am, even though you have breakfast from 8))) Goa is Goa ...

I disagree, the hotel staff opened the canteen on time, there was a couple of times a delay of up to 10 minutes, but these are trifles for people who are not in a hurry. And at the expense of housing on the spot .... Here, not everyone has the opportunity and desire to climb the place in search of housing. I prefer, especially if the rest with a child, to understand where I'm going.

When we tried to see what we could count on the place ..... And to be honest, nothing normal was offered near the sea and the beach. There were great options, but you would have to rent a scooter ... But in India there is such a wild Movement .... Yes, even with a child ... I will not risk it. Is that a tuk tuk .... And so, the hotel is near the beach, the necks are nearby, the ocean-sea is nearby. To each his own, of course, but comfort is very important to me, and for the sake of economy, I am not ready to live in a barn, with mold, etc. But even if you do not go for a month or more, then I see no reason to do this. Everything that we watched more or less decent, then we were ready to rent for a long period.
