Documents for passing through passport control in 2019
I would be grateful for the information about what documents are required and desirable to take for passport control.
Given: an unmarried couple from Kyiv, he is 20, I am 22. We are flying to my best friend (we have been friends for the 6th year). He serves in the army.
An invitation, tickets there and back (we will be a week) by itself.
How obligatory is health insurance? Certificates from work (I work not officially, can I make a statement from a bank account)? Help with absenteeism (mch works and studies)?
Passports made in 2018 (I changed the old 14th year for biometrics, and now the passport is EMPTY and fresh, I'm worried). He only has a visit to Egypt.
I have read stories and, with absolutely good intentions, I begin to worry, because the passports are fresh and essentially empty. Israel fascinates and pulls me, it will be very painful if something goes wrong. :(

Usually everyone starts sharing scary stories and guesses why they didn’t let them in. About men, the latest version - because unshaven.
аватар FoxxyFoxxy
There are a lot of these stories everywhere, so I think which one is better to build a package of docks. I guess I'm too worried, I tortured myself.)
аватар ollennka
Do not ask there any docks. Just asking a bunch of tactless questions.

Documents are indeed rarely requested, and a lot of questions are asked. Here you can watch my video about crossing the Israeli passport control for Ukrainians https://youtu.be/CcJv1hRmCcw using our example. First of all, attention will be paid to exactly what and how you will say. With the answers, the two of you must confirm that you are a true couple, which is true to your brother, which is true for a week. Most likely they will ask separately. About where you live, how long you've known each other, where your brother works, where he lives, how you plan to get there, etc. It is better to have insurance and money with you. A return ticket is a must. The main thing is the truth and no fictional stories. Good luck! Write down how it goes.
аватар ollennka
And where did the brother come from?)))) It was not for nothing that she took popcorn.
аватар catalina777
Re-read - friend. :) By the way, it can be more difficult with a friend than with a brother.

Catalina777, saw your video before, thank you very much for it! I also fly El Alem and therefore it is very useful for me.
And I’m even glad that I’m not flying with UIA - that the checks will begin at home.
Although when I took tickets, I took them on the principle of "interesting to try." And then I found out about the checks.
As well as about empty passports, and in general about all these horror stories ..
Thank you for your recommendations! As for the truth, I absolutely agree - and if they don’t let me in with my truth - well, I’ll draw my own conclusions, but I definitely won’t lie)
аватар Vika284
And your friend who served in the Israeli army did not tell you about checks at checkpoints at the border? You've been friends for 6 years
аватар FoxxyFoxxy
Vika284, told, of course, and even went to the ministry for a consultation, but friends have not yet flown to him, so the knowledge of those who were in a similar situation may be useful
Perhaps someone was asked to show something from documents, etc.
For their part, all the services of Israel say, they say, if the goal is tourism, everything will be ok, and nothing more. Since they said, take certificates from work just in case.
Only then a bunch of stories about how Ukrainians are not allowed through

Yes, do not forget a few photos with a friend, a copy of a friend’s tudadzeud (passport), it is desirable that he (friend) write something like I ask, invite, take responsibility on the copy with his own hand in Hebrew .... they will publicize to the fullest ...Good luck
аватар FoxxyFoxxy
Yes, printing a photo is a good idea) and I will make a copy of the passport
Thank you! I will make copies of everything.
I even thought of making a copy of my diploma, so that at least not an official job, then education :D But this is too much, right? :)))

When are you flying? Unsubscribe at least later here, how it went.

I had a similar situation, also read a lot, took a certificate from work. The frontier guard asked only how many times I had arrived, whether I was married, where my ex-husband was (at the time of arrival I was divorced) and sent for an interview. 3 hours of waiting, 1.5 minutes of conversation with an immigration officer. Nobody looked at my documents. From afar just looking at the hotel reservation. About the certificate from a place of work having asked, "And you, that for work came here to get a job? ". And all, the stamp "great Israel". But not everyone was so lucky for my flight ...
аватар gumenyk2006
And yes, the passport was fresh, only an Egyptian visa
аватар FoxxyFoxxy
Gumenyk2006, thanks for the feedback! When did they fly?

So day X came yesterday - two months of nerves, reading reviews and stories about how honest Ukrainians were not allowed into Israel, mocked and tortured ..
In Boryspil: the guy and I were divided into different employees and asked questions. 15-20 general questions, no tricky ones, no rudeness: where do you work, where does he work, how did you meet when you were in Egypt, how long have you known the person you are flying to, and so on.
Issued stickers. Many didn't have them at all.
They checked the hand luggage - they just carried it along the tape as standard, they didn’t open anything.
On the plane, I was not childishly sausage. As a result, 2 minutes at passport control, a demonstration of a return ticket and an invitation, an answer to the question of where did you meet the person I was going to.
All! Two minutes and my blue card and I have.
I got the impression that if you really have nothing to hide and you .. how to say .. well dressed, well-groomed look - everything will be ok a priori.
In general, these are the things. :)
аватар ollennka
What is their business in general, who knows how much and where they met?! These are the most tactless questions.
аватар solt07
Welcome... excuse my French, it's better to re@@@@t than to under@@@@t. You were ready at least on a lie detector to pass the control.!!!
аватар FoxxyFoxxy
We flew back to Kyiv yesterday.. a lot of deportees were with us on the flight. Some really looked suspicious, but the vast majority are ordinary people.
Of course, I don’t know how they answered questions, whether they flew by invitation or a ticket, but I was surprised by the number.
+ The plane was not completely filled, while during the flight to Israel there was a 100% landing.
I will give a recommendation to those who fly by invitation - make an invitation not just in Russian and Hebrew, but also with a copy of the teudat zeuta and signatures both on the invitation and on the teudat zeuta.
By the way. As for horror stories about terrible reverse control - when you are already flying from Israel: everything went as smoothly as possible, about 5 standard questions and the question of who we are to each other and get the hell out of Kyiv.) No searches of things, nothing at all
аватар ollennka
I would recommend not to go there at all...
аватар FoxxyFoxxy
Don't be so categorical.) If you want to see Israel, then why not try.
аватар ollennka
Rest should be a rest, and not a lottery "let them in, they won't let me in." There are so many visa-free, problem-free countries in the world that I sincerely do not understand the hype around Israel.
аватар FoxxyFoxxy
I don't know, maybe I was fabulously lucky, because. from the first post, everyone knows that my passport is empty, and there is no fountain of money, and a guy with one seal of Sharm el-Sheikh ... And you could expect a lot of problems, which I did, tormenting myself ..
In the end, everything went as smoothly as possible. I don't believe in luck. Don't know.
