Starting from Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth and pumping the Dead Sea.

Winter in Israel is more comfortable than summer - not hot.
You can see Jerusalem, and Betlichem (Bethlehem), and Tel Aviv.
From Jerusalem, you can go to Eilat for a beach holiday, and on the way see the Dead Sea and climb the Masada fortress.

Visiting the holy places and sights of Israel does not depend on the season. In winter, some excursions can only be overshadowed by rainy weather or wind, when they are, but it doesn’t happen day after day. A jacket, sweater, closed shoes will be useful especially in the evening when it gets colder. Also in winter, cool water in the Dead Sea and in the Jordan (during an excursion to Galilee). Otherwise, as in other seasons: the Old City of Jerusalem with its 4 quarters, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Alexander Compound, the Wailing Wall, the Jewish synagogue Hurva, etc., the alternative Golgotha, the Garden of Gethsemane with the Church of all nations, Church of Mary Magdalene, Tomb of the Virgin. Masada Fortress, Qasr el Yahud (baptismal place) and the Church of St. Gerasim in the Dead Sea area, wonderful ancient Jaffa with its amazing streets, Tel Aviv - the Old Port, Rothschild Boulevard. You can list for a long time, there is so much to see in this small country with huge opportunities, it would be enough for all the time ..

"Winter and summer in one color?" - You didn't guess, it's not a Christmas tree, it's Israel! If you look at the map of Israel, you can see that 60% of the territory of Israel is desert. Therefore, traveling around the country in winter (temperature +15 - 20) you will be more comfortable than in summer. There are many tours. objects that are located in the Judean Desert or in the Negev Desert. It is not recommended to visit them in summer. These are nature reserves such as Ein Gedi or monasteries in the Judean desert, visiting these sites is associated with hiking. Also a visit to the fortress of Massada in the 40-degree heat in the open sun requires a little stamina). There are several specific winter facilities that operate only in winter, such as Khirmon. This is the so-called ski resort of Israel. Of course, this is not the Alps and you don’t need to specially go to it, but if you visit Israel from November to March, I recommend visiting this place.

If you like extreme sports and want to be alone with nature, then take a walk along the bed of one of the drying rivers in the desert, which becomes full-flowing during the winter rains. But, this is a completely different story and it is designed for a narrow circle of people. Therefore, such routes are not included in the list of standard (regular) tours in Israel.

I absolutely agree with the previous answers that the holy places in Israel can be visited at any time of the year. However, often tourists who come here on excursions from warmer Egypt in winter feel uncomfortable. This is easy to avoid - you just have to remember that it can be MUCH colder in Jerusalem in winter than, for example, in Sharm El Sheikh. And, accordingly, take warm clothes and shoes with you.

Coming from Egypt to Israel is to "work up an appetite." In one day, tourists are shown only the very "tip of the iceberg". And it's not cheap at all :(
Moreover, the trip itself is very cheap, but after tourists they bring cosmetics and souvenirs to shops with prices many times higher than these goods should cost. And tourists buy at exorbitant prices, and then they think that everything is sooo expensive in Israel ... But this is not so - it’s expensive in Israel, but if you come to the Country for at least a week, you can go on excursions and buy souvenirs-cosmetics for quite reasonable prices!
By the way, most tourists after such a "advertising tour" come to Israel for real :)

In Israel, winter is the same as summer. Unless you really can't swim.
And if you don’t know what to see, then you can stock up on an audio guide: https://izi.travel/ru/gidy-v-izrail.
The main attractions in Jerusalem of course. But there is one big BUT, a deep atheist, like my husband, was bored.
аватар Alex_classic
The audio guide is good, but not for those tourists who are traveling for the first time. The audio guide will not replace a LIVE guide! Especially if it's a guide to indus. tours :)
Landmarks in Israel are EVERYWHERE - from Eilat in the south to Safed and Rosh Hanikra in the North of the Country! In the city of Jerusalem, for the most part, attractions associated with THREE religions. But there is something to see in Jerusalem for atheists / secular tourists! For example:
* Memorial complex "Yad Vashem"
* Biblical animal zoo
* Museum "Books" (Qumran scrolls)
* Knesset (Israeli parliament building)
* Rockefeller Museum
* Attraction "Elevator of time"
* Museum in the "Tower of David" (there is also a light show)
and much, much more... I hope the guides will complete the list of Jerusalem sights that are NOT associated with any of the religions!

The discussion has already gone beyond "winter Israel", but since the author of the question does not show signs of life, we will consider this legitimate). All of the listed museums and temples can be visited both in winter and summer, visiting them does not apply to the season and is not tied (we don’t go to the cinema only in winter or summer).
Without pursuing any goals, I wanted to say a few words about the audio guide, religion and Jerusalem. The audio guide can only be used in museums when you are standing in front of the object. In city tours (especially Jerusalem), I would prefer an audio guide - a trip with Google without leaving home. Save money and time, and more impressions).

Jerusalem is not only a religion. The list given by Alex is proof of this and it can go on and on. Jerusalem is, first of all, a HISTORY of four centuries, which, of course, the audio guide will not reveal or tell. In addition, there are themed tours. "Jerusalem of three religions" is mostly a religion (although depending on the contingent, the guide may lean towards history). "Crusaders in Jerusalem" is pure history or "Russian Jerusalem" - the history of the Russian Orthodox Church getting used to the Holy Land, the history of the Romanov family. For lovers of history and archeology without leaving the old city - the center "Davidson", the museum "Burned House" whose history is 2000 years old.
We would have had enough life to sort out and understand this whole story). Another thing is whether we want this, or maybe we just want to soak up the waters of the three seas or at Egyptian resorts. And when you are tired of rest, drop into Jerusalem with an audio guide ..)

Thanks a lot, everyone! Already on the way: Chelyabinsk - Tel Aviv. I'll be back and write a report. All new travels and impressions!
аватар Galina50
Looking forward to your enthusiasm!
аватар Alex_classic
Well, the weather is unlikely to be enthusiastic - it's rainy and windy here :(
From tomorrow, a few days without rain seem to be promised. And then again unstable weather ...
аватар Galina50
The main thing is not the weather, but that the monuments in Israel stand in place :-)
аватар Alex_classic
Yes, Galina50, you are absolutely right. 100% right!
BUT!!! In bad weather, there is less pleasure ... In addition, the risk of catching a cold is higher :(
I hope the peak of bad weather is behind us and tourists and pilgrims will be able to get the maximum pleasure from their stay in the Holy Land!
