Good afternoon! Lived at Jerusalem Gardens Hotel and Spa last year. Conveniently located. There are 6 tram stops to the center, if I'm not mistaken, you can walk on foot! It wasn't very expensive! Breakfast was included. There is free parking, I rented a car. The breakfast was kosher... but I wasn't hungry. Quite tasty!

Good afternoon! I have vacationed in Jerusalem many times. Very good hotel GRAND KURT, the rooms are good, spacious, clean, the furniture is new and modern. The breakfasts are delicious and varied. Check in to the hotel is fast. The hotel is not expensive, but very good, there are no minuses. I RECOMMEND, YOU WILL NOT REGRET!!!! The staff is friendly. Internet works well.

If the purpose of the trip is a pilgrimage, then I recommend the Kikar Zion hotel, which means Zion Square. It is located almost at the walls of the Old City:

Unfortunately, Kikar Zion has been under reconstruction for a long time. What a pity - the location is great! And the prices were very affordable...
The location of the Gardens Hotel is its main disadvantage. Yes, it is relatively inexpensive. Yes, there is a parking lot. BUT!!! Walking to the Old Town is difficult - about an hour on foot. The option with a tram is a link to transport + an expense of about 100 rubles / person. on the road :(
As for the hotel recommended by Nelochka2704, it is really on the level!
It's 4*, almost 5 :)
The only negative (not for everyone is a minus - for me, for example, a plus) is the location. Although the Old City is close, but go through East Jerusalem to the Damascus Gate...
You can read more about this hotel and see photos here:

In addition, there is no infrastructure around - there is nowhere to dine in the area :(

The most inexpensive of the normal Palm Hostel in Jerusalem ( Haneviim Street No. 6, Jerusalem, 97203, Israel) is $55 a night, if you book now.
But at Christmas, the price of everyone takes off at least 3 times.
Personally, we lived in Bethlehem (this is Palestine) from the center of Jerusalem there is a bus to Bethlehem (Bethlehem), about half an hour away. There, the price is 2 times less in hotels and cafes.

In general, if for 3 weeks it is more comfortable and cheaper for you to rent an apartment in Jerusalem.

Firstly, as for the Palm Hostel, this is not a hotel.
Secondly, not all hotels raise the cost of living during the Christmas period. And who raises, then not 3 times!
Thirdly, in the Israeli city of Bethlehem, located on the territory of the Palestinian Authority, both accommodation and food are cheaper, but not always 2 times cheaper.

And really... what am I... Why do Jews raise the price of hotels on Christmas, when thousands of pilgrims come from all over the world and the CIS in particular?

I rested in Jerusalem and in expensive and not expensive hotels, better than in GRAND KUR, no!!! This hotel is 4 stars, it is not expensive, everything that a person needs for a normal stay is there. The hotel is modern, clean, new, the food is delicious and varied (breakfast). You can also dine at the hotel, not expensive. The hotel is located in the Arabian region, the people are all good, everyone is busy with their own affairs, there are no problems in anything. I ADVISE!!!!!!

Slav1, really, what's wrong with YOU???
Before writing about Jews raising prices at Christmas, one should ask if Jews live in Israel! More precisely, whether only a Jew. So that you and other members of the forum do not make such mistakes, I provide information on the topic. Up-to-date - data published on September 8, 2015:
On the eve of the new, 5776 year (according to the Jewish calendar), the population of Israel is 8 million 412 thousand people.
Israel's population grew by about 158,000 people in the past year, an increase of 1.9%, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.
The number of Jews in Israel is now 6.3 million people (74.9% of the population), the Arab population is about 1.746 million people (20.7%).
In addition, 366,000 (4.4%) Christians live in Israel who are not Arabs, as well as citizens of other national-religious groups and persons not included in any ethno-demographic category.

Now the specifics. The recommended hostel - Palm Hostel - is located 100 meters from the Damascus Gate. This is East Jerusalem, therefore, with a high degree of probability, its owners are Arabs. But it doesn't make any difference to the pricing system. All hotel owners want to earn as much money as possible - it's natural! That's why some hotels raise prices by 10-40%, and some don't...
For example, the GRAND COURT hotel recommended by Nelochka2704 does not raise the price! The price of a night for residents from 01/12/2015 to 01/03/2016 is the lowest price of the year.
