If we talk about travel agencies on the territory of the Russian Federation, then it is better to choose from options at the place of residence. The main thing is to order services from the Tour Operator, which is part of the Tourist Assistance and with financial guarantees from 30,000,000 rubles.
If about Israeli, then almost all travel agencies are also intermediaries. There are very few excursion companies on the "Russian" market, prices are +/- the same.
Private guide is good but not cheap. A working day of a licensed Israeli guide usually costs $200 and up. I recommend booking a guided tour of Jerusalem. For a 4-hour walking tour, you can see the main places. This will be a good addition to the package of 4 excursions for $125/person. (3 excursions + sightseeing tour of Tel Aviv - Jaffa for half a day).

Before the trip, we found a local site through which we booked an excursion. We wrote off first by email, then they called us back, discussed everything again, we paid the cost (the payment came to the email. On the appointed day, we were picked up from the hotel. Everything was at a high level, there is a review about the trip in my blog.
Site with excursion schedule and cost: http://www.travel-partner.co.il/ru/excursions_ru.html
Vitaly Zhdanov worked with us, his email: [email protected]
telephones: 8 10 972 54 69 578 51 and 8 10 972 523 24 05 24

Dear residents of the Russian Federation and LU-lf-la in particular, Vitaly Zhdanov has never been a guide. Therefore, there is no need to advertise him here! The fact that he does breeds on excursions is subject to Israeli laws. I already wrote ... that the guide has a license. All guides hang it in a conspicuous place, without it it is not possible to work. And if you liked his anecdotes and jokes, then I sympathize with you ... you just divorced ... Uncle Vitya.
аватар mishatour
For krasava_ya. If you need a private guide, please contact me. You can't always trust reviews, they're often fake...
аватар Lu-la-la
to mishatour: in no case do I want to dispute what you wrote - my first answer is the result of my experience (and for me - positive). Mr. Zhdanov was not our guide, he was the contact person through whom we ordered and paid for the tour.
The guide's name was Maxim, we met him on the day of the tour. Alas, I don’t remember the last name now ... but he worked for 5+
аватар Alex_classic
The specified site is a site of "travel agency" at home. First of all, it is just one of dozens of intermediaries between tourists and tour companies.
аватар admin
For mishatour. Dear travel industry representative. We ask you to correctly treat what real tourists write.
It is easy to see that Lu-la-la is a real tourist who has written 37 reviews on our site and has a fairly high rating. Information about this is displayed when you hover over the logo. You can also look into the user's personal account and see the travel experience that he decided to share with other site visitors. Such people cannot advertise - they express their opinion. Therefore, your irony is inappropriate. And not professional either.

I ran into Vitalik for no reason, I'm sorry) . He really has a tour desk in the center of Netanya (not at home). He provides intermediary services (by the way, all Russian, Ukrainian .... companies do the same thing) between the client and the performer. Therefore, it is more profitable (when possible) to directly contact the performer (travel agency or private guide)
аватар mishatour
For Lu-la-la. Sorry, I took your information too emotionally. Your tour experience is truly commendable
аватар sigur62
For pilgrimage tours of biblical places, you can contact directly the pilgrimage center "Jerusalem", es-no, in Jerusalem itself. There are only thematic tours of the Holy Land, nothing more. This can be done right on the spot, you will simply be included in some group, most often these groups are led by priests.
At one time, wonderful excursions were led by mother nuns from the Gornensky Monastery in Jerusalem, now I don’t know, I haven’t been for a long time.
A private guide is really expensive, but you can make the program yourself, devote more time to the most interesting for you, and not depend on fellow travelers who are always lost and late. If you have money, a private guide is the best solution.

The intermediary specified in the recommendation advertises a MOBILE phone on its website (the prefix 052, transformed into (972) 523..., refers to the Selcom network). No self-respecting travel agency and excursion company, working primarily from the office, does this.
аватар sigur62
And what's the difference, mobile, landline, or pigeon mail? The main thing is that they do their work honestly and conscientiously.
I also have a PERSONAL MOBILE phone of the guide Vadim Grossbaum - a wonderful literate and honest person, with whom, after a week-long pilgrimage trip, everyone says goodbye as if they were family, with tears in their eyes. And I don't care what company he works for. The main thing is that he is our man.
аватар Alex_classic
There is a difference. A reputable company in Israel (either a tour or not a tour) will NEVER list a mobile phone as the main/hotline. To do this, there are virtual / landline numbers that switch in standby mode to any mobile, etc.
The guide is not a company. And give the guide your mobile phone. client - that's right, it's not a sign of bad taste.

And what is the work of a travel agent?
Does the interior of the office in which the travel agent sits influence our decision?
Will all in one meet on the bus and those who bought in the office with 5 phones and those who bought the tour in the kiosk?
If we want to go to Kirkorov's concert, is it important where to buy a ticket, or is Kirkorov more important?
Exchange offices in Israel sell 50 excursions per month (per season) and everything is fine, this is an additional income for people and they value it very much.
BUT all this of course works if you yourself have done your homework well and know what you need. And if we are too lazy to do homework, then we can’t do without a GOOD travel agent) And if we are lazy and can afford a private guide (by the way, it doesn’t hurt if we are 4..5..6.. people) then this is generally cool).

I always use the services of local Israeli travel agencies. We visited more than 10 organized excursions, went from Metroclub and Rubin. Excursions were purchased both in the office itself and through an agent. Traveled with these travel agencies from the cities of Tel Aviv, Netanya, Bat Yam. Personally, I am satisfied with both the guides and the organization, you just need to know the simple truth that the group usually gathers throughout the central district, then the meeting of all buses in Tel Aviv, where tourists transfer to other buses (this is not always) and go on excursions in their own directions - a loss of time from an hour to two - but these are trifles! If you don’t want a group tour within $ 40-50 / person, order an individual one 10 times more expensive, as a rule, excellent guides work, I can recommend Igor Torik and Svetlana Petrovskaya, they have their sites.
аватар mishatour
10 times, this is if you get into the guide's car alone. Let's take an example. A family of 4 lives in Netanya and wants to buy an excursion to Jerusalem. Excursion for one person in the Rubin bus costs $60 (price list - http://www.rubinisrael.ru/tour_info.asp?id=40) Total - $240. If you book such an excursion DIRECTLY from a private guide, you get $350. The most expensive is 1.5 times. And payment usually occurs at the end of the tour. This is one side of the coin, and the second is the content. At best, the guide will join them in Tel - Aviv, and sometimes in Jerusalem. And on the way, no one will tell them about Netanya, about Kibbutz Gash, and in general what a kibbutz is and why there are so many hot springs in Israel, passing by Apollonia, they will not find out that it was here that the crusaders in 1191 defeated the Saracens during the third campaign. ....
There is another option to travel around Israel - a rented car. This is an amateur, many do it with a guidebook or put a guide in the car. The price is cheaper than a private tour.
Have a nice day, everyone!

Almost always, excursion companies offering excursions for +/- 50 dollars with departure / return from collection points in different cities have a problem with transferring from bus to bus. At least one transfer (tourists once told us that they somehow had 3 and asked us to avoid such extreme sports).
In the case when they are taken from the hotel and returned to the hotel, this is much less common. But the price for this service is also higher - from 60 dollars, as the guide from Netanya correctly noted, and more... from Jaffa for 1/2 day for $125).
As for the ind. excursions, the prices are definitely higher. And for 1-2 people. the difference is really big... That's why they are not often ordered. But whoever ordered has never complained about the quality of service and the level of the guide (on ind. excursions, as a rule, the best of the guides).
аватар bileg
I just warned that during a group tour you need to expect a transfer from bus to bus (I didn’t encounter 3 transfers, but if you leave from Tel Aviv or Netanya, then as a rule there are no transfers!) - but for someone and one transplant in the bummer, I agree. The option is to pick up tourists from the hotel and return them there at the Metroclub, for example, it costs $ 15 more (but while the bus travels through the narrow streets to the hotel, you can safely get off at the general meeting place and stop at some attractive cafe. Not relevant for Israel - IHMO). Now, dear mishatour, we traveled from Rubin for 90 shekels / person, i.e. we spent $ 105 for 4 people, Petrovskaya was ready to spend for 600 (it is clear that it was worth it, but alas ...) I don’t go to travel agencies tied, I choose what is interesting at a particular moment. What company do you represent? I am ready to cooperate with anyone who can offer a program of interest to us at a price-quality ratio, departure for excursions on our planned trip this year from Bat Yam, payment only in shekels on the spot. Last time we took excursions in several companies, because. in one they could not get everything that we were interested in, and in the third they simply had good weekend discounts.
аватар Alex_classic
That's right - in order to pick up from the hotel and return to it, excursion companies take an extra charge. An exception is an order BEFORE departure and immediately 3 excursions (then, as I wrote above, the price from the hotel will be lower than when buying separately from the collection point).
Concerning your, bileg, question to the guide. I think it's better to discuss such things in a personal. And then the moderator intervenes again :(
аватар mishatour
Ok, even with such an attractive price, this is not 10 times). What was this tour? I represent myself. Mostly (90%) guides are freelancers.

Good day! Please tell me if the price of $2832 for a train to Israel for 12 days is fair for $2832.
Tour plan :
09/03 Transfer from Ben Gurion airport to hotel in Netanya (Ginout Yam 3*) Meal BB
10/03 Excursion Tel Aviv Yafo
11/03 Excursion Jerusalem Christian + Bethlehem
12/03 Excursion Galilee Christian, Nazareth and the Jordan River
13/03 Rest day at the Dead Sea + lunch
14/03 Transfer from hotel in Netanya to hotel (Americana 3*) Meals HB
15/03 Free day on the Red Sea

17/03 Free day on the Red Sea
18/03 Free day on the Red Sea
19/03 Free day on the Red Sea
20/03 Transfer from hotel in Eilat to Ovda airport
The price with plane tickets, fuel surcharge, transfer and excursions according to the program is $2832.
аватар mishatour
All prices in tourism are unfair, but market prices. Compare prices with competitors, bargain and earn. I wish you success
аватар sigur62
Expensive.
I sent you in a personal message the coordinates from which we always travel to Israel, and we never lost.
аватар friend183
Thanks for answers! Sigur62, thank you for the link! I'll take a look now!)

The cost of the tour consists of several parts, namely:
1. Hotels. In this case, we are talking about the most economical 3 * hotels. For 5 nights at Ginout Yam (9-14/03) should charge $490. For 6 nights in Americana (14-20/03) - 960 dollars, cat. incl. 276 for dinners... Total is 1450 dollars for a couple.
2. Transfers and excursions. In this case, for all of the above, they should ask for about $ 480 per pair.
3. Air travel. There are options here. For example, if you fly out on 09/03 in the afternoon on Transaero, and return by charter on 20/03, then you should get +/- 800 dollars for a couple for both flights!
TOTAL: about 2,700 dollars.
My conclusion. The price is quite market. Dramatically cheaper without changing the program will not work :(
I will think about how to optimize the tour and write later...
аватар friend183
Thank you Alex Classic! I'll be waiting for your information!
аватар Alex_classic
Always and with pleasure :)
So, here's what I would say to a tourist who applied to our Moscow or St. Petersburg office with a request for a combined tour to Israel.
First, that the requested program is one of the best options for visiting Israel. It is the combination of excursions in Israel with a holiday in Eilat and, possibly, on the Dead Sea, that is optimal. Therefore, the TWO SEA tour - the Mediterranean and the Red is very popular ...
Secondly, I would suggest a basic option WITHOUT a separate trip to the Dead Sea (the Dead Sea will be a trip to Eilat approx. 1 hour), and also without dinners. Get a big savings! That's what I'll post a little later.
аватар sigur62
This is correct.
You don’t need to pay for an excursion to MM in advance, there’s nothing to tell there, if only on the way to visit Masada, there is something to see and listen to.
аватар friend183
Guys, what do you think. Can I wait for a last-minute combo tour, anyway, there is no visa to Israel. Or even easier to do ... Buy a last-minute ticket to Eilat, and take excursions from there, I understand that it is very inconvenient to get there, but the savings will also be decent. Or am I fundamentally wrong?
аватар sigur62
Could be so. Only burning in Israel is not so much. Choose the right tour for you, Eilat so Eilat, and if March and beyond, then Jerusalem is possible.
Decide what is more important for you - a vacation at sea or a pilgrimage to shrines.
