There are also good hotels in the south side of the resort, where the observatory is, but you need to take a taxi to the center of the resort. In general, keep in mind that Eilat is a boring resort and not cheap (much more expensive than in Jerusalem), the beaches there are more than average, and the sea is much inferior in beauty to the Egyptian one.
