Baggage SIZE Requirements
Tell,
we are flying to Croatia, UIA airline, the weight requirement is 20 kg per person - everything is clear with this. It is not clear with the size of the luggage, the amount of WxHxD = 158 cm, measured the suitcase, and it is 170 cm. Will there be problems?

Olenka-Olenka, you are a bit confused :) UIA has no requirements for the size of the suitcase, except for the weight limit - you can hand in 20 kg of luggage for free, but even if you pay the benefit you are not allowed to take more than 32 kg.
And 158 cm are as follows:
The list of speeches, regardless of their size, can be considered a place of luggage, which in the sum of measurements (length + width + height) is 158 cm (62 inches): here is the list, there are no suitcases among them.
It is difficult to understand what is meant ... But I think that you will not be lucky with a bicycle or ski boots?
Well, and of course restrictions on hand luggage:
"Passengers with economy class tickets can carry hand luggage in the amount of:
* 1 place of hand luggage up to: 55 x 40 x 20 cm / 22 x 16x 8 inches,
* weighing up to 7 kg.
You can also call UIA with all your questions:
"Call center in Kiev

I want to add that back (from Croatia) the weight of the luggage should not exceed 30 kg. In 2008, we had to repack our suitcases because of 1.5 kg.

30 kg per person or for two?
We still have a one and a half year old toddler with us, weight is allocated for him, because food is in jars, a first aid kit, a pot, etc. will take more weight than my summer things :)))

For one. Is there a separate ticket for a baby?

I got through to the call center (not easy), they said that for each adult 20 kg, for infants - 10 kg. The weight requirement does NOT change on the way back (for safoo).

Olenka-Olenka, the requirements of the airline do not change. But airport services may have their own requirements for the weight of one piece, this is due to the labor protection of loaders :)))

Olenka-Olenka, we had one suitcase for adults and 1 toddler. We just took wine with us on the way back, and the luggage weighed 31.5 kg. We were told to repack up to 30kg. You cannot take drinks with you on the plane, except for a bottle for a child.
Again, this was in 2008.
Pachok, I think, is right about the safety of loaders.

And one more thing, Olenka-Olenka, if you are going to a city, and not a village, then there are baby food in supermarkets, there are diapers. Prices +/- like ours.
First aid kit - yes, take it with you. The insurance company gives medicines, but it is better not to wait for a doctor if you have your own.
We never took a potty, but it depends on the child.

Yes, I already understood that one bag shouldn’t weigh 30 kg (so that the movers don’t accidentally overstrain :)) Thanks for the tips, we flew to Egypt several times, but we never asked such a question, that’s how life changes from the appearance of a baby. And I will still take food, water and diapers with me for the first time, because they can’t give me a clear answer about the supermarket, it seems to be there, but I found reviews that it was half empty. I’d better take it, otherwise we’ll have another 70 km from the airport. Until we get there, we won’t want to get out anywhere in the next couple of days, especially in search of diapers :)))) And we’re going to Umag, they write CITY, but I think it’s quite small.
