Plitvice lakes, is it worth visiting with children?
We are planning a family vacation in Croatia in May. I really like the photos of the Plitvice lakes. We will be with children 10 and 12 years old, is it not very difficult to walk along the lakes with children, or rather for children?

The road is long from everywhere, but in comfortable buses. A walk around Plitvice is different - there are excursions for 2 hours, and there are for 4 hours. You have to constantly go, there are practically no halts. If children can silently contemplate the beauties of nature, then perhaps the main thing is to prepare them in advance. But in May, there are probably still a few tourists, so there will be no hustle. On a 4-hour walk, we had a boat, we had a little rest, but it was not tiring for us adults. And also take sweaters, it can be cool there, because inside mountains. But this is the place without which Croatia is unthinkable.

It's not hard with kids. You can walk there freely - you can go longer than 4 hours. Everything is marked and signed there, but yes, formally there is a short and a long route. The long one is more beautiful, it’s understandable) I won’t say that there’s a lot to go uphill there, not at all. A lot of straight ahead, along wooden paths right above the water. We didn’t go back, but got on a train and it took us to the starting point. But if they were late for it (it was the last one for us), then they would have walked back.
I did not really understand BalIrina about the fact that there are no halts. We traveled by ourselves and therefore we could make halts anywhere (except for the paths over the water). Perhaps we are talking about some kind of group tours, I don’t know. If you go yourself, then after buying tickets, go there all day where you want and as much as you want. The place is very very beautiful, a must go!

Tickets were sold out at 16:00, since the park itself closes at 20:00 and, as it were, they don’t sell them later because everyone needs to be released by 20:00. I don’t know how they do it, in fact, there are a thousand entrances and exits to the park from all sides, bypassing the ticket office ... We went out, for example, closer to our parking lot along the path through the forest and didn’t go past the ticket office.
I even think that after 16 the cash desk just doesn't work there and that's it. And they let everyone in. I won’t confirm, but almost all palace parks with paid admission during the day (until 18), where I was - after 18 were free ...

If the children are ready to walk for a couple of hours at a leisurely pace, then why not? A child is different for a child.
We walked and did not even notice how they, these hours flew by.

Comfortable sports shoes and clothes, a couple of bottles of water - that's the key to a successful tour of the Plitvice Lakes. The main thing is no strollers, otherwise you will have to lift the stroller and lower it down the stairs. Entrance is paid, but the price includes travel on boats. You can't get on the boat without a ticket :)
If necessary, please contact us, we will organize and suggest a convenient route. Transfer by car or minivan. www.adria-tur.com

10 and 12 years old are the most popular children) There is a section of the path where it is very uphill, but for children it is still easier to overcome such climbs than for adults, it seems to me. Be sure to go, the children will remember this place for a long time.

You already have grown children. We need to show them this beauty. My son was the first time in Plitvice at the age of 4, he really liked it. There you do not feel tired, there is simply no time for it. We have some very good tourists who come with a child from the Urals for two years in a row to see these amazing lakes and waterfalls.

Very beautiful excursion, like all the others in Croatia.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE AIR TEMPERATURE ON THE PLITVIC LAKES IS A COUPLE OF DEGREES LOWER THAN ON THE COAST, SO YOU CAN TAKE WINDCOATS FOR CHILDREN. :)

Dear Natalia and Alexander, This is the third year I have been applying for recreation services to your firiu Adria Tour. Thank you very much for your excellent service and professionalism. friendly attitude and great service. I was with my grandchildren in Croatia with the city of Tsirkvenica, Opatija, Tribal. All excursions conducted by you left an indelible impression. This year again I would like to relax with my family in Tribal, Croatia. A wonderful quiet place near the sea in the valley of mountains and lakes left a super impression. Have the previous conditions for booking a villa with a pool in Tribla , Villa Adria remained the same?

Dear Natalia and Alexander. This year we want to come to Croatia again, but not only with grandchildren, but also with friends. This country is a paradise on earth. We would like all those excursions on which we were, and especially on the Plitvice Lakes. so that you organize everything for us like last year and be sure to be accompanied by Alexander. Thank you for the excellent service! Sincerely, the Stefanovich family.

Tell me, please, who remembers how much the group tour cost? Our owners of a private hotel convinced us that it is more interesting to travel with them than through a tour desk. They took it dearly.
аватар Dini-Tours-Travel-Company
Dear "Poola", the group price depends on the region from where the tour starts. From Dalmatia further, respectively more expensive, from Kvarner closer. From Opatija, the approximate price for a group tour is 65-80 euros.

Thank you. We traveled from Central Dolmatia, 9 people, 150 euros per person, lunch at our expense.
