Here is another long-awaited vacation. Greece-Rhodes. Hotel Rhodos Beach (Rhodos Beach), three stars. I can’t say anything bad about the hotel, clean, tidy, wonderful breakfasts (we only had breakfasts). The small swimming pool, as always, is packed with German tourists, well, they don’t like the real sea. The view of the opposite hotel - "Kypriotis" and its pool was pleasing to the eye, they did not overpay for a sea view. The room is really, as in the picture - white and blue, TV (one Russian channel), refrigerator, air conditioning in the season (from July 5 to September 25) is free. Everything is fine. The old city is very good - narrow streets, authentic houses, old, but very neat old - it is interesting to wander around, see. We went on two excursions - Symi Island (very nice, no more) and Lindos and Seven Springs (I liked it). It is better to go to Lindos by bus, people who have gone there on a boat complained that it is very long and hot. In so this excursion is half a day, so it's not tiring. The food in Greece is amazing. cheap. If seafood is 8-10 euros, but my girlfriend liked it - gyros is like our shawarma, with chicken or beef - a huge amount of meat with potatoes and vegetables is packed in pita bread and all this culinary madness costs 2-2.5 euros + beer for 60 cents, well, consider it cheap and cheerful. And now about the sad - this is the beach near the hotel and in general the beaches on the side of the Aegean Sea. This is a disaster!! ! They are stone, stones the size of a fist, there are constant waves on the sea, neither enter nor exit, nor what coral slippers save. Lying is also problematic, not comfortable. Of course, you can take sunbeds, 8 euros is certainly a pity, but for yourself you will go for any expenses, but unfortunately the umbrellas are so small that one person is still lying in the sun, so the sunbed does not save the situation. In early reviews, they wrote that you can easily walk to the Mediterranean Sea, where there is sand and no waves. It's true - there is sand and no waves, but it's not 10 or 15 minutes to go there in all half an hour. At an air temperature of +50, you don’t really find yourself. And further.....WIND-WIND-WIND - it does not stop, not when, not for anything, just a hurricane. On our side, decent weather was only three days, this is when the wind is calmer and the waves are smaller, and the rest of the time it's a song.....and swan. I read earlier about waves and wind, but somehow I didn’t attach any importance. But in fact, this is a real problem, given that we spend most of our time on the beach and in the sea. You have to go to the other coast - to the Mediterranean - if in Rhodes itself it is much more expensive, but there are wonderful places (we were) these are Filiraki, Kallithea - they are 10 minutes away from Rhodes (2.20 euros) by bus. But there is a gentle sea without waves and sand. Well, everything is like that. Sincerely.
