We rested together with my husband in early September 2015.
There were very few Russians in the hotel, unlike even the streets of Rhodes. Probably our compatriots still prefer to settle on "all inclusive". From experience, we never fully use this system, because we love to travel, try local dishes and drinks. We travel without children, they already travel separately, so they are not attached to anything.
The room was standard, overlooking the green area. In general, no frills, everything is standard for a 5-star hotel: bathrobes, slippers, cosmetics, mini bar. Upon arrival, wine and fruit were on the table in the room.
Food ordered breakfast and dinner. Breakfasts were held from 7:00 to 10:30, dinners from 19:00 to 22:00. Breakfast is served in the form of a regular buffet with cereals, muesli, salads, scrambled eggs, fruits, rolls, jams, etc.
For dinner at the buffet, you take appetizers and salads, and choose the main dishes, and bring them to the waiters. The dinner menu usually included very tasty dishes such as lamb, lamb ribs, duck breast, shrimp, swordfish. A couple of times we still missed dinner and really regretted it. But, unfortunately, you can not be in two places at the same time! Drinks are free only during breakfast. Dress code in the restaurant! And it worked for both breakfast and dinner!
The hotel beach is beautiful but rocky. Be sure to bring coral slippers, or buy locally. Then you can enjoy the sea, it is very clean in this place, and since there are stones, colorful fish swim up.
It is 1.5 kilometers to Lindos, one way by taxi about 8-10 euros.
Some walked. Lindos is great! Don't be afraid to climb on donkeys, it's much more comfortable than walking, donkeys know their stuff!
The nearest settlement is Lindos itself, you can get there by taxi or even walk, but such a walk will take about 45 minutes. I really liked the beach here. It is located in a small bay, so there is no wind (I really don't like the wind). sandy, but when you go into the sea there are stones, go slowly and carefully, probably better in slippers . . The sea is very clean and transparent, beautiful azure color, fish swim up to the shore, they are all slowly fed.
When we entered the room, wine and fruit were waiting for us, oh, how it was by the way after a long journey. We took a standard double room, quite spacious, with a balcony overlooking the sea, as we booked. Everything is as usual here: refrigerator, mini-bar, TV, bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer.
You have to pay for the Internet here, but we arrived for a short time and decided to completely, as far as possible, disconnect from civilization.
We ate at the Navarone restaurant and at the Greek tavern on the shore, the food, I won’t say that it’s particularly refined, but quite acceptable with everything you’re used to (meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, salads, dessert, wine), I don’t know, maybe up to 5 stars and does not hold out, but this is if we judge very strictly. There is also a bar, the bartender made delicious cocktails, I liked it, live music in the evenings. By the way, food can also be ordered to the room for an additional fee, we did not use this service. I visited the spa several times, did a massage, and my husband did a gym. The hotel has a small shop with all sorts of useful little things, there is also a car rental and an exchanger, if anyone needs it. They swam in the pool, no chlorine smell, sea water or not, I don’t know, they said that it was sea water. We have already been to Lindos, but with pleasure we went again, took a walk, went to a couple of taverns, and, of course, we couldn’t do without shopping. In general, as we wanted, we had a quiet and peaceful rest.
