Now about our number. It had a sea view like most here. But, just imagine: you flew in from rainy St. Petersburg (beloved, but what is, that is), you rise, and here - the azure sea looks wide open from the window. I immediately want to take off all my clothes and jump into it right from the room, like from a tower. For those who like us to “remove all clothes immediately”, bathrobes and slippers are prepared in the room. The mini bar is breaking down and replenished daily.
But much more our attention was attracted not by mini, but by a completely different bar. Champagne Bar. There is an entire floor dedicated to it. They open it from six in the evening and pour sparkling and regular wines, with a suitable snack. This is pure pleasure!
The food was no less enjoyable. Both in the main restaurant and in the themed ones. They especially pampered themselves with fish in Asian cuisine. Everything is fresh and amazing. Just a lot! However, keep in mind that the main restaurant has a strict dress code in the evenings, and you can't get around it. Men are required to wear trousers. So that's great)
Another of the undoubted advantages of the hotel I want to note: 1) service (the highest score! Everyone is friendly, welcoming, fulfill your every desire. On the way from the airport, we looked at other hotels through the windows and already understood that we had made the right decision. Maybe we were driving along some special road, backyards, but we didn’t meet anything like our hotel. Snow-white, radiant, inviting to rest by its very appearance. And we haven't yet gone up to our floor (we had the sixth one) and haven't looked out the window. That's what I call a stunning view. The whole sea is at a glance, and you can see it even better than from the beach)
We were greeted with cool champagne, kindly and quickly told how everything is arranged in the hotel and settled in 10 minutes. Everything, you can start to relax!
And so we began - the champagne bar before dinner, the abundance of dishes in the main restaurant. True, the husband had to change clothes, no one canceled the dress code and trousers at dinner. And if you overlooked and your spouse didn’t take anything with him except shorts - you have to dine in a la carte restaurants - they won’t let him into the main one. 1) Rhodes is a very pleasant island with a mild climate, in August it was hot, the thermometer showed 39, but sometimes a refreshing wind blew. The beach at the hotel is excellent: long, wide, modern beds (wide and soft), small comfortable pebbles under your feet. The beach has everything for any type of recreation (active or quiet): umbrellas, a bar, a volleyball net. The girls also did zumba and aqua aerobics. Our daughter enjoyed participating in everything.
2) The room seemed very worthy to me: two large bright rooms with a frosted glass partition, a view of the sea. The furniture is fresh, everything is in white tones, good quality linen, a large plasma TV (did not turn it on, I really wanted to avoid watching the news in our country). Pleasant cosmetics in the bathroom, which was replaced daily, also pleased. There was also a kettle, instant coffee and tea bags in the room.
3) I liked the kitchen in the hotel. You can call it international, European. Meat, fish, salads, vegetables, fruits, everything is as usual in hotels, but at a good level, that is, deliciously cooked and beautifully served. Of the restaurants a la carte went only to the Greek, liked it. For the Asian and Mexican mood was not the same. But we visited the pancake house regularly. Delicious pancakes with a variety of desserts.
4) Drinks in the bars are above average, I especially liked the champagne bar, very sophisticated environment and serving drinks and food.
5) The hotel staff is always respectful and friendly, but without familiarity. Unless they give themselves liberties with children (joking, playing).
We also took a car, went to the city, were impressed. There are a lot of specific places like Lindos and Monolithos Castle. In Filerimos (Butterfly Valley) there is nothing particularly interesting, except for peacocks.
In any case, everything new is always interesting. In Alila we rested with comfort.

We rested in June 2015 at the Alila Hotel with the whole family (my wife and I and our two children). The hotel rooms are located in a multi-storey building, we had the 5th floor. In addition to the bathroom, the room also has a shower cabin - very convenient when a family lives in the room. The hotel is newly built and opened as we were told in 2013. Furniture looks like new. The shower was leaking a little in the shower, we immediately reported this to the reception - no more than 30 minutes later, everything was normal. Moreover, with the worker who repaired the crane for us, there was also a hotel employee who apologized for the inconvenience caused. It's nice that they quickly respond to comments and treat them with attention. The room has a mini-bar with drinks, a safe, a spacious closet, cosmetics, bathrobes, slippers in the bathroom. When we checked into our room, there was a bottle of wine, fruit and cakes on the table - our children appreciated it, absorbing it all in a couple of minutes.
The territory of the hotel is not very large, but there is everything you need and it is comfortable to move around the territory - there are no big mountains and long stairs. The beach is well-groomed, there are enough sunbeds, beach towels on deposit, they change without problems, even during the day. There is a pool with a slide for children. Also not far from the hotel there is an Aquapark - a great place where only children will like it, but also adults - there are cafes on the territory.
A wide choice of restaurants: main and 4 thematic a la carte - by appointment, an unlimited number of times during the stay. Everywhere the food is excellent: a wide variety of dishes, for breakfast it was no problem to feed the children, and the choice was not only from sausages and omelettes, a large assortment of cereals, muesli, yoghurts, canned fruits, fresh fruits. For lunch and dinner there were always first courses.
There is children's animation, but since there are a sufficient number of families with children, the children organize themselves according to each other, our friends and I gathered either near the pool or in the pastry shop - ice cream, desserts, bake pancakes, waffles.
In the evenings, live music sounds in the bar, a large selection of drinks, cocktails are made. There is also a wine and champagne bar, where they offer a large selection of expensive varieties and brands.
