1. Upon arrival at the hotel, they wanted to throw in a room with a view of the road and not at least, although in the voucher - with a view of the sea. After a conversation in menacing tones, they apologized and gave a number on the sea.
2. The room is normal, except for the stink from the toilet.
3. Cleaned the room badly.
4. Towels are gray with stains.
5. The washbasin is clogged.
6. I asked for an ashtray, they said you'll manage, it's not provided.
7. People are like ants with a French accent.
8. Everything must be done like in the army, I was a little late somewhere and everything is not in the dining room, not on the beach.
9. There is a safe, but you have to pay for the lock, I think 2 euros a day - bastards.
10. Water was supplied before the race 2 bottles of 0.5 and that's it. Everyone runs to get water in the canteen, there is no other name for this restaurant.
11. In short, the service is so-so with beer.
In short, if you go to drink it will go.
If anyone does not understand Lindos Village 4 * and Lindos Royl 4 * - this is the same anthill, on the same territory with one info, with one beach and pools.
And then a real vacation began, it’s a paradise for everyone))) the sea is a fairy tale, its shadow is visible in the water, the food is very good (watermelons, melons, pineapples, wine, lamb, rabbit, poultry, a large number of salads, never hungry didn’t stay) =))), the territory of the hotel also pleases, there are a lot of pools, in the first days we went to the pool near the Village hotel, then we got so carried away by the sea that we didn’t go to the pool)))).
We rented a car (only not in a hotel), and did not regret a single gram, the price is cheaper, and the conditions are the same)))).
I advise everyone to go to the confluence of two seas (kiss of the seas). The beauty is incredible, Rhodes should also be visited, unfortunately we had little time, so we watched everything on the go)).
Not taking into account the way we were accommodated, everything is very chic, we would gladly return)))).
I wish you all a good rest)))).
So, in Greece (as well as in Europe) for the first time. Before that, there were several hotels in Turkey and Egypt behind him, so there is something to compare with. I must say right away that the rest is several orders of magnitude higher, better and more luxurious than the popular Turkish and Egyptian resorts. Europe in one word.
ROOM. Village at the last stage of renovation. I think that the first guests will come in from June 1st. But several buildings have already been repaired and we were lucky to live in a similar one. The room was on the third floor of the "family" type with a sea view (sea view). Two one-and-a-half beds are shifted, the third is in stock. There is a bathroom in the toilet.
Sewerage works bases of special complaints, the bathroom is always dry and comfortable. Upon arrival at the room, you will find small 30-gram bottles: 2 with shampoo, 2 with bath foam, 2 creams and a couple of small bars of soap. Therefore, stock up on shampoos and shower gels. Fortunately, there are no strains with toilet paper, they give it without restrictions.
Immediately in the room will give two half-liter bottles of water. You can top it up at the restaurant. If the bottling machine is turned off (this happens) - contact the guys at the bottling of wine / beer, you will be happy to fill your containers. In general, tap water is quite clean, so at least you can brush your teeth without fear.
There are metal-plastic bags in the room, everything closes tightly. Telecom is a standard hotel, personally we showed badly. Of the Russian-language channels, there are only a couple of channels: one broadcasts the news “Rossiya24” around the clock, the second “RTR-planet”, in short, there is nothing special to watch.
Personally, we were not up to TV.
Until June 1, the air conditioner only works in fan mode, so I can’t vouch for its work. While we were resting on the street it was cool, although the last couple of nights it was very hot. There is a great fridge in the room.
Cleaning is daily, towels are changed daily, the bed seems to have been changed a couple of times in all the time. No tip was left.
A beach towel costs 10 euros deposit (refundable), you can take a card at the reception.
NUTRITION. Special topic. So varied and good food has never been met. There is a lot of meat, fish every day. Potatoes, rice, pasta. Always 2 types of sauce. Delicious soups for lunch. Pizza was caught 3 or 4 times. A couple of times they made pita (Greek variety of shawarma, very tasty). Lots of vegetables, greens, bananas, oranges, dried fruits. Three types of yogurt in the morning, in the afternoon at the beach bar, and in the evening and in the restaurant you can overeat with ice cream.
The restaurant always has a choice of 3 types of wine: red, white, rose. Everything is really dry. There is good beer. Well, juice-water, of course. The lobby bar and the beach bar have a new cocktail daily. Available martini, rum, baileys. All decent quality.
What I liked the most is that no one restricts either in food or in drinking. You will not see a single sour face, like the Turks or Arabs. The Greeks are very friendly and accommodating. The service is simply gorgeous and after the turkeys suddenly unusual.
POOLS. Three large swimming pools and one for children, which stretches in the form of a river almost throughout the entire hotel. One of them has good slides.
BEACH. Large pebble. The sea is very clean and transparent, even at a depth of 2-3 meters you can see the bottom. There are umbrellas and sun loungers. We really did not find it, we began to mount everything the day before our departure. There are showers and toilets on the beach.
ANIMATION is. The French team is working.
By the way, the hotel has a lot of vacationers from France and Germany. Animation all day, some of the guys speak Russian, in the evening they put on a show every day from 21.00 to 23.30. There is a kind of kindergarten on the territory: you can hand over your child to the animators and they will look after him perfectly. Since we do not have our own child, it was not possible to verify this fact.
HELPFUL INFORMATION. In fact, going to Rhodes is not worth it just to lie on the beach. Be sure to check out the island. I strongly recommend downloading a simple Android navigation program before the trip (as an option, we used the free program from osmand. net + maps of Greece, the advantage here is laying walking routes), we never got lost and were able to see a lot.
I also recommend downloading Florian Frust's excellent guide to Rhodes: flibusta. net/b/164537 - Russian-language and with pictures, will help you navigate the terrain.
Just in case, watch another entertaining video about Rhodes: youtube. com/watch? v=T96veTnYnyY
Well, what to see? The hotel is located in the village of Kalathos, 5 km from Lindos, the cradle of Rhodes. It takes about an hour to walk there. The bus ride is fast, but costs 1.6 euros. I recommend taking a walk, at the same time seeing the beauties of nature and flocks of wild goats, which are simply teeming with the slopes above the road. Lindos has a good sandy beach, although the sea is shallow there.
You can safely go to the city of Rhodes by bus. The ticket costs 4.5 euros. Buses run clearly and on schedule, it takes 70 minutes to go to Rhodes. In the city itself, you can walk along the pier of the Mandraki port, see the castle of the Hospitallers, I recommend visiting the Aquarium beach (this is the northernmost point of the island), it is beautiful, you can rummage through the new part of the city (there prices for souvenirs and products are slightly lower than everywhere else). To the advertised island of Symi directly from Mandraki daily (at 9.00, on Sunday at 10.
00) there is a ferry for 19 euros per person. With a guide at the hotel, such a trip costs 65 euros. There is a difference, I think. Do not buy any excursions: you can see and feel everything on your own, and it will be many times cheaper.
The bus schedule can be obtained at the reception or just view/download here: ando. gr/eot/eng/BUS. pdf. In general, I recommend using public transport: it is inexpensive, safe and gives a rich idea of the customs of the locals, brings some kind of romance. All buses are air-conditioned, so the trips will be comfortable.
For information: a taxi costs a standard 1 euro / km + 2 euros landing.
On the Seven Springs by bus for 2.7 euros you get to Kolymbia (20 minutes), from there you can walk a little less than 3 km. There is nothing special to see there, except for peacocks, and take a walk through the tunnel: 180 m in complete darkness in a stream of seething ice water. Be sure to take a flashlight and do not go alone, otherwise you can start off with your brains.
For those who like to rent transport, I recommend using a moped. On the beach there is an ancient grandfather in the rental office "Jimmy's", 125 cubes will cost 20 euros per day. You can only take 50 cubic meters from the hotel for that kind of money. The only negative: category A is required. Both Russian and Ukrainian driving licenses will do. Gasoline on the island costs 1.8 euros / liter.
Almost everyone on the island knows English, even a basic level will be enough for communication.
I want to write a lot, but there is a lot of information. Therefore, if you need something in more detail, please contact me, I will prompt.
