This year, they chose beautiful, sunny Rhodes as their place of rest. The island from the first days of our stay impressed us with its beauty. Insanely green island, lots of flowers! There are a lot of attractions, which is worth the old town of Rhodes, the capital of the island! When you get to this place, it seems that you get into a real knightly era! The incredibly beautiful, snow-white city of Lindos with its Acropolis, the kiss of two seas, local villages, the ruins of the Monolith castle, the ancient city of Kamiros - this is not the whole list of those places that simply take your breath away.

We traveled a lot, traveled, and it is even difficult to put into words the beauty that we saw here!
Now a little about the hotel where we stayed. The hotel is called Aelia. The place is very quiet, well suited for a relaxing family holiday. Very close to the sea, literally 200 meters. Nice big beach, calm Mediterranean sea, no stones! What else do you need for a wonderful holiday near the sea : )
Although we did not spend much time at the hotel, it left the impression of a clean and comfortable hotel. The room is not big, but they clean it every day.
I also want to note the pleasant staff of the hotel - always friendly and ready to help at any moment!
What was really missing was the animation program! There is nothing to do in the evenings, it is boring.
In terms of food, it's pretty monotonous, but very tasty.
The hotel has a large swimming pool, there are always free free sunbeds, it is also cleaned periodically.
The hotel is fully consistent with the low price and is well suited for an economical holiday.
Of course, we were very pleased with our stay in Rhodes, we plan to return here next year.

They rested as a couple. Check-in was at the very end of May. We arrived at the hotel around 11 am. There were still few guests, but we waited about an hour for the preparation of our room for living. Not removed after renovation. Standard room, no frills. Second floor with a balcony and a view of the construction site. All windows of this wing of the hotel face a private house under construction about 15 meters from the living quarters. The hotel itself is well conceived, but embodied by the current owners is disgusting. The first five days were drilled at the hotel, the TV started working on the third day, the room was cleaned and linen was changed only from the second week of our stay, and then only after our reminder. The pool was cleaned sometimes, and for some reason in the afternoon. The pool bar is derelict and no attempt has been made to revive it. I would especially like to highlight the canteen, it is difficult to call this eatery a restaurant. There are about 50 seats at the tables, in the second week there were more than 100 guests. If you come early, then you push like in Soviet times for sausage, if it’s late, then you eat yesterday’s and cold. The menu is nowhere more standard: pasta, french fries, chicken, strange cutlets, twice in two weeks there was meat, PMIDORS. The cook's special preference was fried small fish, which no one ate. And it was carried over to the next day. THERE WAS NO FRUITS AT ALL. Plus, a very wonderful contingent, which was born in such a sludge: ours, who used to go to cheap Turkey, Poles and Czechs. Moreover, both those and others are clearly from the category of honored collective farmers. The emphasis of the hosts on the Poles and Czechs, which contributes to the “Mouzenides”. In short, this place does not deserve 3 stars. And, accordingly, it should cost like a cheap HOSTEL, because it is like that.

Taking into account that all people are different and expect different things from rest, immediately
I will indicate that for me the important criteria when choosing a hotel were:
nice beach, quietness, decent food and cleanliness.
Therefore, I will comment on these points:
1. The beach is not just good. The purity of the sea is indescribable. Even on
At a considerable distance from the shore, the bottom can be seen perfectly. Pebbles at
entrance, which makes it a little more difficult to enter and then exit. But the depth
picking up quickly. You can swim almost immediately. There are no jellyfish, no hedgehogs.
2. Silence. Perhaps even too much. There is almost nothing around the hotel,
except for a couple of taverns. Excellent promenade along the sea, in the evening
illuminated. Constant background noise is created by cicadas. But this,
rather, a relaxing noise, akin to the rustling of leaves, the splashing of water.
After another day, you stop noticing it at all, perceiving it as
an integral part of the environment
3. For 3 * on "all inclusive" - higher than expected. Those. range,
of course, not rich, but tasty, fresh products, good
cooked, appetizing looking. Feeling of "canteen"
arose. The pursuit of diversity at the expense of quality is not here
noticed. The only negative (but this is not about food) is the restaurant
small for the current number of tourists.
4. Cleanliness. The rooms are not perfect, but acceptable. Linen and towels are not
worn, white. Rooms are cleaned daily, but there are
shortcomings. With open balcony doors in the room quickly
dust appears. If you do not wipe for 2 days, you can draw on
horizontal surfaces. In the restaurant, lobby, on the territory -
OK. The tablecloths are clean, the floors are washed, the garbage on the territory is not
flies. On the way to the beach (I understand that this is no longer a hotel in the answer, but
though) could be cleaner. The road is not well maintained, on the sides
rubbish is found.
In general, the impression is positive. My requests - hit
almost 100%. I recommend with pleasure.

Hello! When choosing a hotel, I doubted for a long time, because, despite the good price and good reviews, I was still embarrassed by the remoteness from the resort "civilization". In the end, I took the risk, and for good reason!
I note that the hotel has many unconditional pluses. In the first place, of course, the sea. The beach is gorgeous. Sand with pebbles, but it doesn’t hurt to go into the sea, I did without slippers. There are no waves, the water is crystal clear. The people - nobody. Of course, it is now May, and there are few vacationers. Some water, I would like it to be warmer, of course. But nothing... 20-21 for May, too, I think, is not bad.
The second is nutrition. Even taking into account the fact that the hotel was half empty, the food was varied and tasty. In terms of all-inclusive drinks, everything is standard. The surprise was that on the basis of local drinks, the owner composes all kinds of cocktails for free.
Third, the owners themselves. A married couple with a wonderful understanding of the word "hospitality". No, really, on the second day of your stay, it began to seem that you were relaxing with your aunt in the country, everything is so sweet, sincere and with an individual approach.
Now for the cons. The rooms are quite modest. Repainted wooden beds, the same bedside tables, table and wardrobe. The TV however is new, flat and with a few Russian channels. The bathroom is small, the shower has a curtain. There is soap, everything else you need to bring with you. Small balcony overlooking the interior and the pool. The silence is complete, neither the hotel itself nor the resting contingent of noise create.
And the remoteness from civilization... in fact, it turned out not so scary. If you come for a week, it doesn't bother you at all. There is one village Afandou about 30-40 minutes walk. The May weather allowed walking there at any time of the day, without fear of dying from the heat) In the summer, they say, a train is allowed along this route. A very pleasant locality. I was even lucky to get to some local holiday with a performance of dance groups and eating sugar cakes)) I also rented a car for a day, to ride along the coast. And I went on 2 excursions, fortunately, the programs are rich and the guide was good. Thus, the remoteness from the resort area in no way spoiled or limited the rest.
In general, I consider the choice of the hotel successful. I consider these pluses to be significant, and the minuses to be insignificant or easily overcome. Thanks for attention!

But, you see, the price for it is quite low. Therefore, to expect something big from him is strange and stupid. This option suited me and my girlfriend and we do not regret that we spent 10 days there. The food is really homemade and delicious. We always tried to make it to dinner. Khazyaeva Paraskevi and her husband Dimitris - special thanks to them for understanding with our poor English. 4 minutes walk to the sea. The beach is very beautiful, long (several kilometers), almost deserted, crystal clear sea. Haven't seen this anywhere. Thanks to our hotel guide, because thanks to him we visited all the sights on the island of Rhodes with comfort and excellent guides. Particularly impressed by the city of Lindos. They didn’t go on donkeys to the acropolis, they climbed themselves and were smitten to the ground by simply stunning landscapes. We took probably a thousand photos. You should definitely go there when relaxing on the island of Rhodes. In general, the holiday was a success! Travel more often, friends!

In more detail, this is a small hotel with about 50 rooms. A three-story building, located with the letter P. Half of the rooms face the inside of the territory, the second half faces the sea. But for most of these rooms, the sea view is blocked by an abandoned building next to the hotel. On the territory there is a swimming pool, deep enough, a good playground, a bar, a football field.

But for most of these rooms, the sea view is blocked by an abandoned building next to the hotel. On the territory there is a swimming pool, deep enough, a good playground, a bar, a football field. In general, the territory, although small, is well-groomed and green.
On food: the choice is not great, but the food is very tasty, homemade. Perhaps, in 14 days of rest, I can’t remember that something was tasteless or unappetizing-looking. According to the all-inclusive system, drinks are free until 22-30 in the bar. The bar even makes free frappe coffee. Tea/coffee from the coffee machine and ice cream are available throughout the day.
The rooms are almost Spartan. Whitewashed walls, old furniture painted in traditional blue-gray. Shower room with a short curtain, old plumbing. Soap is available, but other shampoos and gels must be brought with you. There is a refrigerator and TV with Russian channels. Air conditioning in the room for an extra charge of 8 euros / day.
Around the hotel there is a private sector with olive trees, in some places you can see the caring hand of the owner, in some places the view is abandoned. An asphalt road leads to the sea, it takes about 7 minutes to walk. The beach is magnificent. Long, offhand 5 kilometers. The coastal zone is not developed in terms of infrastructure, so there are practically no people here. True, the Greeks come by car for the weekend, then the number of vacationers on the beach increases dramatically) Sunset is small pebbles, you can do without slippers. The depth is gained quickly enough, you sail about 5 meters from the shore and your feet no longer reach the bottom. The water is so clear that even at depth you can see the bottom perfectly.
Special words deserve the hotel staff. The hotel is small, there are few staff and the owners Paraskevi and Dimitris themselves are spinning all day. They work in a restaurant, serve in a bar, work at the reception and in a mini-market. And all the time with a friendly smile. The requests of the guests are not left without attention, they try to make the stay in their hotel cozy and comfortable for everyone.
In terms of entertainment, everything is quite limited. There is no animation on the territory of the hotel, bars and clubs cannot be found within walking distance. There are several taverns on the coast, you can ride a train to the village of Afandou for 1.70 euros. That, in fact, is all leisure. To get acquainted with the island, we used the services of the tour operator Mouzenidis. We went to the survey around the island for a full day and the cities of Rhodes-Lindos. Both trips were very enjoyable. Both times we went with a guide Michael. An amazing storyteller with a great sense of humor, deep knowledge and the ability to communicate with people. We also took a car twice for a day, on the advice of our guide at the hotel we drove through the bays and nature reserves, tried the local cuisine in the villages. They also enjoyed a lot.
Aella is an example of a cozy family treshka with a beautiful sea. Suitable for those who are tired of the bustle of city dwellers, for an economical vacation.

Still, the beginning of the season, the hotels are just opening, and we decided that the conditions would be the same everywhere. I can say that everything worked out as planned. The hotel gave us nothing more, nothing less than what we expected. It took about an hour from the airport. I think that this is nothing at all, considering how much we traveled to Moscow when we flew to Greece (we went from relatives from another city straight to the airport). We arrived just in time for check-in. After two hours. Placed and, as expected, immediately on the beach. The beach is great. The water is clean, but the beach itself is not sandy, but pebbly, so don't expect to make Easter cakes with your children. In terms of food, I will say that for a 3 * - just fine. The breakfasts were just delightful. Eggs, omelettes, croutons, cereals, muesli, sausages, salads, tea, coffee, doge juice in packages. I agree that the territory is small, but everything is clean everywhere. One drawback is the lack of internet in the rooms. In principle, we were not promised this, so I have no complaints. But there is Wi-Fi in the lobby and at the reception - free. There is no animation here, so you need to organize entertainment yourself. What we were doing. We went to neighboring villages and on excursions. Rested for 5 +. Thank you Greece for your hospitality.

So, I decided to write about Greece. I liked the country. My family and I traveled by car to Austria, Germany, France. And we decided to fly to the sea and just relax on a sunbed. We flew to Rhodes to the AELIA RESORT 3 * (AL) hotel. We were lucky that we drove from the airport for 40 minutes, and when a transfer sometimes brings tourists to hotels, it can take up to an hour and a half (the neighbors told us), but by our Moscow standards, these are trifles, of course.

Near the hotel there is a large parking lot, you can take a car for a couple of days and leave it there. The nearest village of Afandou can be reached on foot (from 30 minutes to 1 hour). Or it is cheaper to go from the hotel (15-20 minutes), for an adult one way 1.8 euros, for a child 1.2 euros (under 12 years old). We walked in the evenings. Few people went, it's a vacation, it's useful to walk on foot and inhale the clean sea air and improve your health. And already there we took public transport and went to Rhodes. There are also two fish taverns “Avantis” and “Psary” near the hotel, along the sea there is a promenade.
The hotel is cozy and small, well-groomed and green. Swimming pool for adults with fresh water + children's section. There are no Russian speaking staff at the hotel. But that wasn't a problem. Everything is a little bit and they and we know English and were explained on the fingers. Friendly staff, always ready to help. Our child was in the children's pool in armlets and played on the playground by the pool. Ours is 5 years old. And we ate from an adult table. And for the little ones, there are only high chairs for feeding on request in the restaurant. I don't know what parents feed their babies. And, thank God, there is no animation. She got us in Turkey. WI-FI is free in the lobby and at the reception. Ate in the morning: croutons, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, eggs, jams/butter/honey, yogurt, milk, cereal, muesli, baked tomatoes with cheese, nipples, bacon, fresh vegetable salads; drinks: tea, coffee, packaged juice. Typical European breakfast. Everything is fresh, no moldiness.
For lunch: meat / fish, casseroles, potatoes / rice, fresh vegetable salads, traditional snacks, no soups. For dinner: baked potatoes/rice/pasta, meat/fish, vegetables, salads, mushrooms, baked tomatoes with cheese, stuffed peppers, etc. The hotel mainly specializes in cooking traditional Greek dishes. We liked them very much. After all, we eat ordinary euro-food at home. We went to "all inclusive". But, bottles of water are not given, there is no cooler, you can take water in glasses at the bar or ask to draw water into your container (bottle). It is better to stock up to the hotel with a 2-liter bottle. After 23:00 only alcohol becomes paid. Pool bar from 10:00 to 17:00. Food, basically all day long. They weren't hungry. The rooms are ordinary and clean. I can't say anything bad. The bed was changed. Immediately said that the hair dryer and iron at the reception only. But we came not to stroke, but to relax. So they didn't use it. Most importantly, we went to the sea. Waves are rare.
The beach is pebbly, about 100 meters from the hotel across the road. The longest on the island and the water in the sea is very clean and transparent. That's where it's good, so good. The width of the coastline is approximately 10-12 m. The entrance is gentle, gradually deep. We brought a child with beach slippers for walking on pebbles. Bring your own beach towels too. We were told all this when we bought the ticket. Well, if you don't save money, then buy there. There are no changing rooms on the beach, but there is a free shower. There are no sea urchins. There are no beach activities. But we had enough of our son. 2 sunbeds and an umbrella 7 euros 1 day on the beach. We went one day on a tour. I will not advertise. There is a choice. The hotel guide from Mouzenidis told us everything on the first morning. He also happens in the evening. Everything was resolved slowly. The Greeks love their work, although we were at the end of August and the staff, probably. Should have been tired by now. But, we were seen off like family.
The hotel is small, many met, especially thanks to our very sociable son. By the way, the Greeks idolize children. In general, we liked it. And the climate is very suitable for everyone.

Hello dear travel friends? I want to share with you my impressions about the rest on the fabulous island of Rhodes! Rested with a boyfriend and friends at the Aelia hotel. Transfer from the airport took 40-50 minutes. A small cozy hotel, nice pretty green area. 3 km from Aelia is the village of Afandou, where you can find a pharmacy, mini markets, fruit shops, taverns, pastry shops, etc.

A small cozy hotel, nice pretty green area. 3 km from Aelia is the village of Afandou, where you can find a pharmacy, mini markets, fruit shops, taverns, pastry shops, etc. You can get to it by train (daily from the hotel / it takes 15-20 minutes / the cost for an adult one way is 1.8 euros or on foot for 30-40 minutes. From the central square of Afandou, you can get to Rhodes by public transport. Schedule available at the bus stop (ticket price 2.5 one way per person) 5 km away is another tourist village Kolymbia. There is a eucalyptus alley along which there are numerous taverns, souvenir and clothing stores, 2 grocery markets, also there you can find a pharmacy, a first-aid post, numerous car rentals and bus stops to Rhodes and Lindos.
There are two amazing fish taverns Avantis and Psary not far from the hotel. The food in the hotel itself is excellent. The hotel is all inclusive. True, they don’t give bottles of water and there are no coolers, but you can ask to draw water into your bottle or take it in glasses at the bar.
Of course, one cannot fail to mention the gorgeous beach! The longest on the island, pebbly, is located 100 m from the hotel.
The rooms are good, everything worked for us, there was also enough space, well, yes, we didn’t spend much time in the room.
Of the minuses of the hotel, which, in principle, do not spoil the rest and we knew about them when booking, but for someone it may be important:
- no animation
- Internet is free only in the lobby and at the reception, but not in the rooms
- no beach towels
- there is no iron and hairdryer in the room, but you can ask at the reception.
In general, we had a great time! Want to return! I advise everyone, especially such non-party companies as ours, and families. Rhodes is a fabulous island in general, we have been to many places in Greece, but the nature of this island is definitely worth visiting! Be sure to visit the bay in Lindos, I liked the beach there most of all, the water is azure and on the right is a view of the acropolis, beauty !! !

The staff was very friendly, greeted with a smile, escorted to the room, the standard room is clean and comfortable, the room has a TV with a Russian channel, two single beds, air conditioning, a refrigerator. . . cleaned every day. there are no bugs and spiders)). On the territory there is a swimming pool, bars, a restaurant, a shop. Internet is free and it is very convenient to use it on a sun lounger near the pool))). Meals were taken all inclusive, a lot and tasty, and greens and meat, and how many fruits mmmmm))). We went on excursions to Lindos, a very interesting city, we rode donkeys))) We walked around the city of Rhodes itself, went to "prasonisi" - the confluence of two seas or the kiss of two seas. Beach-meters 100-150 (did not count) the sea is clean, transparent, the beach is sandy, pebble, sun loungers are paid, we did not take sun loungers and umbrellas, we sunbathed on towels, In general, there are a lot of impressions! And I hope my review will help someone with a choice))!
