The hotel justifies its price. Despite the tiddly territory - there is green and cozy. The rooms are bright and spacious, whether on the first floor or the second. The hotel will be expanded. Construction is underway, but it does not interfere. I think if completed - the price will be an order of magnitude higher.
The beach is very close, literally, in the truest sense. We really wanted to go to Bali Star (who doesn’t want to go there? ), but it didn’t work out, but we didn’t regret it.
The bay with Nostos is the first and largest of all four in Bali. There are many cafes, but, I don’t know, is it always so empty there or only in September? On Sundays, bikers gather in cafes near the beach, I think they didn’t choose this spacious bay for nothing.
The beach is spacious, there are enough sunbeds, the contingent of vacationers is different. On the hill there is some kind of, it seems, 4-star, so the Germans and the French all looked into our hotel.

We took the tour without food at all, for several reasons: a) the breakfast reviews are terrible, the reviews of vacationers with us confirm this, b) we planned dinner not within the hotel, so as not to become attached to the area, we traveled a lot. Travel details below.
We dined and dined in taverns (I recommend Gorgon in the neighborhood - very tasty, cheap and friendly host; Karavanastazi - in the fourth bay, behind the port, the road is not close, but it’s damn comfortable there, the most delicious white wine in Crete, home cooking and, again, a friendly host ). An average dinner with wine cost an average of 16 euros for two.
By the way, the rooms have electric stoves - so we cooked to the fullest, there are many supermarkets in the neighborhood.
It is more profitable to take water in a large package - 6 bottles of 1.5 liters each cost 1.45 euros.
I recommend taking only tea and coffee with you, where they leave much to be desired, as well as packaged juices. We also ran for (breakfast) honey and yogurt to the third bay (behind Bali Star, behind the church), there we also took homemade red wine in plastic bottles and cheese, if you go further - then there is a good supermarket, with olive products and nuts, the most big choice. If you go even further along the same road, almost to the port - there is also a shop there - good honey and homemade white wine, cheese, a friendly owner.
In the city of tyry it is cheaper - but check the language of the tour. We paid 150 euros per person for Santorini. and then they saw 70 euros each, regretted it a little. There, all excursions are two times cheaper than the guide.
On the first day, we took Gramvousa and Santorini from the guide, went to Arkadi on our own (there is a bus stop not far from the hotel, you can get to Rethymno, and then transfer to the bus to Arkadi / Preveli or somewhere else).
Then we found a VIP guide (type "Crete" in classmates), wonderful excursions by car along two routes (but there are more routes): "Golden Step" Monastery - Elafonissi Beach - Chania - Lake Kournas; Knossos - aquarium - Gortyna - Matala beach - Spili - night Rethymno.
They were satisfied.
