The Mythica service includes a private tour of the hotel. We asked a girl named Victoria to show us other rooms without meaning the maisonette - but what was our surprise when we entered the room located next door and saw what we paid money for, it was the maisonette that is posted on the site - a spacious two-level room with a huge terrace, marble bathrooms, sofas on the first and second floor, beds covered with beautiful bedspreads, the area of the room clearly corresponded to the declared 90 m2.
To our claims that we were settled, it was not clear in which room the manager at the reception, without taking his eyes off the computer, kept repeating that we had the same maisonette room, like he did not understand our indignation, but this one was busy. They offered to write them an e-mail next time, asking us to settle in room 32. It turns out that the hotel has one or two similar rooms, but they sell much more at the same price and settle in similar ones to ours. This is a swindle. It should be noted that the staff at the reception is very arrogant, maybe this only applies to Russian tourists. We turned to a lady named Tatiana - she tried to pretend that she did not speak Russian, then reluctantly reacted. Now I will try about the advantages of the hotel:
1. The territory is large, beautiful, well-groomed - everything is in bloom, constantly sweeping, washing.
2. The food is chic, in the main restaurant there is a large selection of dishes from meat, fish, a lot of fruits and sweets. The staff in the restaurant are well trained, all friendly and attentive. The tables are covered with white tablecloths and served with beautiful dishes.
3. The service is excellent, the room was cleaned well, the linen was changed every day, towels twice a day, though maybe this is only for the Mythica category rooms.
4. A very friendly girl named Victoria is a guest manager (I don’t know exactly the title of the position), many thanks to her for her help.
As for the sea and the beach, I agree with previous reviews - the entry is not convenient, you need slippers. During our vacation three days there were big waves, it was not possible to swim. The beach is quite clean, there are enough sunbeds and umbrellas.
About the PREMIUM ALL INCLUSIVE system in this hotel:
Local drinks and some brands of alcohol are included. Bottled wine for an additional fee, what is poured by the glass - well, sooo young wine. Local Metaxa 5 stars for free, and 7 stars already for money, you need to be very careful when choosing drinks if you don't want to pay extra. In the wine list in the restaurant, in the price list of drinks and cocktails in the lobby bar and in the beach bar, you need to look in the cost column in order to draw a house (it's free).
And one more fly in the ointment:
Upon check-in, they issued cards (instead of bracelets), they did not have to be presented anywhere during the rest, but then the day of departure came, the room was left for us until the evening (as befits guests of the Mythica category - thanks for that, although paid). We paid the bill at the reception, we come to the beach - they tried to take a cocktail at the bar, they answer “your number is blocked”, we are “how so - we are guests of the Mythica category”, we have a late check-out ", they answer - look at your cards, and there service from 00.00 hours on the day of arrival to 00.00 hours on the day of departure, i. е. We still somehow managed to have breakfast and lunch. At the reception again, with a straight face, we were told that since we had an early check-in (we checked in at 11.00 in the afternoon, not at 00.00), then on the day of departure, nothing was supposed to happen. What kind of greed? To our question about what then the express check-in service and the late check-out service mean, they did not answer anything.
From the experience of previous trips, we know that the "ALL INCLUSIVE" system involves service both on the day of arrival and on the day of departure. Something special about this five star hotel.
For those who have read the review to the end, we advise you to try to check into a room of a paid category and then the impressions from the rest and the hotel will only be positive.
P. S. And yet, the hotel sells PROMO rooms, this is the building across the road, as it is written on the website. Do not believe it - this is not just a building overlooking the road, these are dead rooms of the level of a bad three-star hotel, with non-working air conditioners, hair dryers and TV-tourists from St. Petersburg, who flew in with us "lucky to rest there"
The hotel room is spacious, with a large bathroom and bed, overlooking the sea. On the territory of the hotel there are large pools where there were always free sunbeds, a spa, a sauna and other entertainment. The food is simply gorgeous for all meals, you can find everything your heart desires and even more.
The staff is responsive, polite and smiling even at the end of the working day.
The beach is very close, the sea is clean, there are many restaurants with delicious Mediterranean dishes and many shops near the hotel.
We also went on a tour of the island, to the nearest cities, to Santorini. Everything is just fabulous. My husband and I agreed on the idea that we want to come back here, definitely.
The friendliness and unobtrusiveness of both the staff and the local population.
Due to the fact that the hotel was not fully occupied, the surprise of the hotel was pleasantly shocked. It was proposed to check into a higher class room, they were accepted with enthusiasm.
1. Weather. Whoever travels at this time is at risk. The pool and the sea are cool, but we are not cold swimmers with pleasure. But it is comfortable to walk, go on excursions. A few days before our arrival there was a storm, everyone was sitting by their numbers.
2. Transfer. Individual, fast and convenient.
3. Accommodation. Maisonette. Wonderful mini villa, two floors with access to the lawn. We met with champagne, freshly squeezed juice, saw off, showed everything, told. Any questions were immediately provided with any help.
4. Nutrition. We had breakfast in the main restaurant. People who have nothing to eat are afflicted. I have one explanation for this phenomenon, I constantly keep myself in tight rein and relax only on vacation, so everything is tasty and plentiful for me, I have no other explanation. One dish of eggs 6 pieces. Everything else is like everywhere else. I note that not all, even expensive, hotels have freshly squeezed juices and red fish with champagne for breakfast. Cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables, pates, pastries, pancakes, fruits, yoghurts, dried fruits, nuts, hot dishes, porridge. People wake up, how can you demand more from life. Well, maybe there are no soups like in Hainan for breakfast. We didn't have lunch. Children, if they wanted to, ran to the mini club. Dinner was at a different restaurant for our room category. The fish evenings were very memorable. What kind of reptiles were not on the buffet, at the end of the evening, hefty lobsters with awesome sauce for Greek evening programs.
5. Promo numbers. Although we should not have had such a problem, well, it was very interesting for me to find out this question on the spot, although I had already found the answer to this question. And at the very first meeting with the guide, two divine dandelions start a showdown on this issue. In their vouchers it is written in black and white, promo numbers, but they didn’t warn us, but we didn’t know, etc. I ask Russian-speaking girls, they tell me that they are already exhausted, people are going completely without finding out where they are going. Well, comrades, strain yourself, read what is written in your vouchers, read reviews, see how much you pay, there are no miracles. They pay pennies and want 5 stars in the Maldives.
6. Outside the hotel, there are many restaurants, everything is tasty and inexpensive. Come to any. I read reviews, subscribed to restaurants, but as it turned out, even those that we went to by chance were better than according to reviews.
Yes, about coats. The fact that it is more expensive than in Moscow is not true. Maybe we were just out of season. We bought something. We met Russian-speaking women there, chatted with them every day, bought homemade olive oil. Tours were taken around the hotel. Don't be afraid everything is well organized.
7. Mini club. Wonderful. It’s just impossible to drive ours, but we all looked, found out, great.
8. People. The entire staff is very responsive, the girls speak Russian, those who can't seem to be learning. In general, they speak Russian everywhere, it's so cool, so convenient, you don't have to strain yourself on vacation. Again, I don't understand people who don't like it. I can’t imagine the Americans who arrived somewhere and, having heard English, speak with disgust, fu, and here is English. People should be proud of what they have and be simpler.
All great feedback.
The very location of the hotel is beautiful - and the beach is in full view, and the shops are nearby, but not noisy. We are generally silent about food - we had all inclusive, so we ate well - there was a lot of everything and everything was different.
During the holiday we flew to Santorini. It is Mouzenidis who makes the air tour. I dreamed of getting to this island for a long time, and lo and behold, thanks to Mouzenidis Travel, I ended up there. She did not want to sail on the ship, as she was very sick. The flight time passed unnoticed, 20 minutes and we are on the island. I was delighted with these white houses with blue roofs, it really is like in the pictures. And what a gorgeous beach with black sand... my son and I bathed and sunbathed in our free time on the beach. Even lunch was included in the tour, and lunch is right on the seashore, it's so great. Well, at the end of the trip around the island, we ended up in Akrotiri. This city of excavations, which has survived to this day, has remained in my soul forever. I walked along these quarters and thought, because once upon a time completely different civilizations lived here. Happy and a little tired, we returned home. Thanks to the tour guide Ilona. We listened to her without leaving a single step.
I was also pleased with the attitude of the staff - the hotel guide immediately agreed to extend the room due to a flight delay and extended it for us for free, plus we were able to have dinner, although we had to leave in the morning. All in all, the vacation went well. We will recommend both the hotel and the tour operator to everyone!
1. Settlement. We arrived around 13:00 and were seated immediately. We had a standard garden view double room in the main building #604. The room was very disappointing. Room 4 * 4, moreover, there were two single beds, separated by a bedside table. The beds were moved by themselves. There was one bedside table and one chair for two, which was very disturbing, because. the passage between the beds and the TV table is very narrow - the two of us cannot disperse. The furniture is old, the design. . . it just doesn't exist. . . the carpeting on the floor and in the lobby is very old and dirty. Plumbing in the bath is old - once there was rusty water. Safe with key!! ! haven't seen this in a long time. Ants were running. However, there is a TV with Russian channels, there is a minibar, there are bathrobes and slippers. There is a balcony with two chairs, a table and (unexpectedly! ) the best clothes dryer I have ever seen in a hotel. Our kettle did not work, we contacted the reception, they replaced it within 15 minutes. Cleaning daily, change of towels on request. In general, the number is clearly 3. We did not get upset because of this, because there were two of us and planned to travel a lot around Crete. By the way, we managed to see a room of the Family sea view category - quite worthy, you can come with children to this one.
2. Hotel and staff. The hotel itself is very beautiful and the area is large and green. Everywhere is clean. The staff is polite and friendly, many understand Russian well, in addition there is a Russian hostess. The hotel guide is also very polite and attentive girl. Internet only in the lobby bar and weak. In the evenings, for example, it was generally possible to forget about him.
3. Nutrition. The food is just excellent. Not very varied, but everything is fresh, tasty and healthy. Several types of fish, incl. and tuna, lots of fruit. We had AI, but for lunch and dinner for some alcoholic drinks and fresh juices, such a system can bring a bill. But the hotel guide informs all new arrivals about this. And for breakfast you can have fresh juices and champagne at no extra charge. In the bar, look for cocktails and drinks marked with the "house" icon in the menu - they are free of charge for those with AI. For children, the kids club has its own mini-restaurant.
4. Beach and pools. The beach is small pebbles with sand, clean. The sea is clean, transparent; standing up to my neck in the water, I saw gray fishes under my feet. In August the sea is very warm even at 7 am. There was a storm at sea for a couple of days - but this did not stop the Russians - jumping on the waves is a special pleasure. The private beach at the hotel is huge, there are a lot of sunbeds, free places can be found at any time. Lots of pools; There are for toddlers and older kids. There is an indoor pool.
5. Entertainment. This hotel shows shows every other day. We liked the Fair Show the most - it was spectacular, moreover, the performance is not given on the stage, but right in the courtyard, which makes it even more exciting. Do not regret 33 euros per person and go to a fish dinner at a restaurant by the pool, on the same evening they give a Brazilian show. A wide variety of excellent fish and marine reptile dishes, my personal favorite was the grilled octopus.
6. Excursions. We took a personal guide on an excursion to Chania, it cost 600 euros. The guide Anna, who knows well the history of not only Greece, but also European states and the history of culture, spoke a lot and eloquently, so it was very interesting.
We flew to the island of Santorini by plane. It costs 200 euros per person. If you have the opportunity, it’s better to fly by plane, the flight is 25 minutes, and by sea 2.5 hours. You will have time to arrive on the island before the mass influx of tourists. And in the heat on narrow streets, this is very important. Santorini is an island of steps, so with small children in strollers, the tour will be exhausting. For a trip to Santorini with small children, a sling backpack is better. In addition to a huge number of shops with mass-market souvenirs, there are many shops with hand-made things: clothes and beautiful souvenirs and interior items and Venetian dolls (if anyone is fond of), so take some money with you! Also on Santorini you will be taken to the so-called wine museum and offered a tasting. The most expensive Kamaritis wine costs 24 euros per bottle, the rest of the wines are around 11 euros, but for those who fly by plane, you will need to purchase a special box for transporting wine. A double box costs as much as 8 euros!
The sightseeing tour of Crete was also very interesting. But first they brought me to a shallow fresh mountain lake to swim, to be honest, there is nothing to do there. Better keep your swimsuit dry until you arrive at the beautiful Libyan Sea! True, you will have to change clothes in the toilet of the local tavern, there are no cabins on the wild beach. During a stop on the Libyan Sea, all tourists were sent to eat in one tavern, but my husband and I did not like it either in terms of speed of service or sanitary conditions - so we went to dine in a tavern near the sea and tasted incredibly delicious lamb ribs and salad there from dried eggplant (although there is no menu in Russian), but they were served instantly. After the Libyan Sea, we were taken to the monastery of Preveli. I must say right away (for those who like to visit holy places) in Greece you do not need special clothes and headscarves, as we have in Russia, so you can safely go there in shorts and T-shirts. Also in the monastery you can buy olive oil and honey of their own production.
We wanted to go fishing on a yacht, but in Greece this is a very expensive pleasure. It all depends on fuel consumption. A yacht for 6-8 people costs 2400 euros per day, go fishing 850 euros. But as it turned out later, if you have friends, then you can arrange everything much cheaper : ))))
In general, Greece is a fertile country, at least for a Russian person there is everything for the soul, as well as for the mind and heart, and for the body. We will definitely go there again and again.
Sincerely, Katherine.
We liked the hotel at first sight, which is very rare. We were looking for a high-class hotel, because. we were traveling with a small child and wanted to relax, as they say, body and soul. And we got it!
Indeed, this hotel has everything you need, the whole day our daughter was busy with entertainment programs for children, my husband and I did not get bored either.
An amazing pool at the hotel, we swam enough, we didn’t always go to the sea, because. there were strong winds. The territory of the hotel is very green, well-groomed and beautiful, we liked it very much.
As for the food, it did not disappoint, everything was delicious.
In general, we liked our vacation in Greece, I think we will come again!
