There were no problems with the transfer at the airport, we were met, seated, delivered by a comfortable minibus. Due to early arrival at the hotel were 3-4 hours before check-in. A family from Russia flew in with us (parents with an adult daughter), they were in Rethymnon for the second time, they chose the same hotel again, they were in it for the first time.
In my opinion, this is the best hotel in Rethymno itself.
We had the opportunity to choose another one outside the city, but we chose this one and did not regret it - a very good location, professional and friendly staff, good food (we took breakfast with dinner).
The rooms are not the most modern, but a comfortable bed, good air conditioning with Daikin ventilation - this is important for comfort.
As usual - fridge, kettle, bathrobes and slippers.
Plumbing is not the newest, but it did not bother, everything worked properly and did not leak. I was a little surprised by the music center with a radio and for CDs... Perhaps, this is generally superfluous there and looks already a little old.
The hotel is not noisy at all, but in the evening there is a cultural program until 22.00. It was entirely appropriate.
Yoga exercises on the beach in the morning.
The beach, despite the location "across the road" did not create any problems, except for a couple of days when the sea was stormy and the lifeguards recommended to go swimming a little to the side, because. it is in this place that sometimes there is a "reverse flow"... Rescuers do their job very conscientiously.
They were also pleased with the "pouring show" on the beach for their tourists (once a day, the chef and his retinue treated tourists to some drink and snack in a national or other style - raki, tequila, cocktails, etc. ). Excellent beds.
The city attractions are within easy reach - they are within walking distance after dinner, even closer.
Thanks to the hotel, I liked Crete, the climate, the sea and the people!
They took an excursion to Santorini from the tour operator, they did not regret it, although they are not cheap (it will not be cheaper to take "off the street", if you take into account lunch on the island).
The staff was attentive even after our check out : ))

So my husband and I were lucky enough to spend our big anniversary in this hotel and on this wonderful island. It was great. In the evenings we walked around the neighborhood. We lived in one of the most luxurious hotels, lay on a huge beach, admired the sunsets on the sea. We flew on tour with the Anex tour.

We got to the hotel quickly, especially since it is located right in the center of Rethymnon. Therefore, we managed to see Greece itself from the inside. We walked a lot around the city. The streets are so picturesque and beautiful, the people are charismatic. It's such a charming atmosphere! Ancient, medieval buildings, the city port - I was just in love with these places. The trip was truly romantic. And what a lively nightlife there - wow! At the hotel, we also had indescribable beauty. The architecture is clearly thought out, it seems that the hotel was built by a real genius. Brightened up our weekdays and hotel staff. We became friends with them. , Everyone liked this hotel: both our age, and the kids and the elderly. Entertainment was provided for everyone. People really left there happy and rested. This is what true relaxation means. When you want to go back there again, when you remember with a smile. Separately, I note the food. We have never eaten such delicious food on any trip. In the room, the remote control from the TV without batteries and the back cover is at the reception. There is nothing to open a bottle of wine in the room and again at the reception.
The hotel needs renovation for a long time. The carpet in the room and along the corridors is old and dirty in places. The area of the hotel is very small, there is no green grass like in Turkey.
There are two pools, one for children and another for adults, 1.20 m deep and a very small person for 10. True, it is two more days of a mile, they drained the water and swept a mile.
Took breakfast and dinner. Breakfast - buffet everything was enough even freshly squeezed juice to yourself Dawis - normal, Dinner - buffet and you can order from the menu (three dishes to choose from). Wine for a fee from 22 euros per bottle and mineral water with gas 4 euros. Wine was most often lied to in stores when both water and wine were walking (cheaper by a lot).

But who loves urban hotels and the first line of the beach, and so that everything is nearby - the best hotel! ))) As they say, Russians are mostly settled on the first floor, but foreigners also live there) The food is excellent, they took breakfast-dinner, everything is very tasty and varied, I was especially pleased with free fresh juices for breakfast) The beach is amazing, the sea is a fairy tale! )) There is a Russian-speaking girl Marina, very attentive, like all the staff.

Nevertheless, the food here is simply delicious, there is always a wide variety on the tables, both at breakfast and at dinner. The service in the restaurant is also good, the waiters are efficient, always in a hurry to serve. In general, all the staff in the hotel are responsible and friendly. The room is cleaned daily, towels and sheets are also changed. By the way, everything in the room is very decent, bed, bathroom, balcony, all appliances work properly, there is a hair dryer))) The combination of price and quality of the hotel is good, so I advise!

As for the fact that the hotel is included in the TOP 100 hotels in the world - I don’t know, I haven’t seen such information, and therefore I didn’t get hung up on whether the hotel deserves to be on this list or not.

The sea was stormy for a week, because of this the water was very muddy (sand rose from the bottom). We took a car and drove for 1 day to the south coast (Rethymno - on the north). The water there (in the Libyan Sea) is colder - currents, but much cleaner - absolutely transparent. But there seems to be less infrastructure and hotels there.
Without a doubt we will visit this hotel again. Only already most likely we will take only breakfast, and not half board. Too many temptations to overeat at dinner))
