This summer we returned to our beloved Greece! This time they chose the mainland, so that they could travel and see the sights, so they decided not to spend a lot on the hotel, the main thing is to have a shower, hot water and a clean bed. The choice fell on Toronto apartments in Paralia Katerinis resort. We flew without delay and in an hour and a half we were at the resort. We were lucky, our room was ready, we didn’t have to sit and wait, we could immediately relax a little, change our clothes and rather go to the sea! The owners of the apartments are very nice and kind people, Panagiotis and Eleni, a married couple. They were kind and helpful, they went to a meeting in everything and tried to help, although they speak very little English, but you can explain yourself. The apartments have a common area, we saw that it was possible to take breakfast in addition, the hostess cooked, but we cooked ourselves in the common kitchen on the ground floor, there are all the utensils and everything you need. The internet worked great. Rooms are clean and spacious enough with balconies. The hosts had to pay a tourist tax, 50 cents per day per room.
There are two small mini markets a couple of minutes away and a large Lidl supermarket 10 minutes away. To the sea 7-8 minutes. The beach is clean, sandy, there are many cafes on the beach, where you can take an umbrella and sun loungers for a drink. The resort itself is lively and crowded, there are places to walk, many shops, cafes, taverns with local cuisine. We decided to travel partly on our own, and partly with excursions. We took excursions for long distances, went to Athens, Meteora and the island of Skiathos, and then we took a car and traveled to resorts and beaches ourselves, also drove to Olympus and admired the beautiful views and local villages. The vacation flew by unnoticed and, as always, a couple more days were not enough, so we plan to return again.
